DVD drives was popular for sharing movies downloaded and burned exchanging disks in the work place like sharing books in the past. Today people just watch the movies and TV programs on sites that list links to videos streamead online. The quality is roughly like old video tapes, but most people only can afford small screens so Blu-ray quality is overkill. In my opinion DVDs and Blu-Ray dont are competing with other solid forms of data storage, they are competing with online data storage. Is "quality" vs. "free".

I only used the DVD drive when I installed the OS and the drivers for the hardware in my desktop. After that I just downloaded free software from the Internet. DVD drives are going to be replaced just like the flopy disk drives.

Iran say that Israel is involved to and that Jundallah have links with Al-Qaida and the Talibans. At the end of the day is all a "big conspiracy of unlikely allies" against a regime that many iranians acuse of fraud in the presidential elections. Sorry, but I take any fast acusation without time for a serius investigation with a pinch of salt.

My family have at least two budhist monks in our ranks, so we get that for free.
Posted in: People are very concerned about the money. They don’t want the family to spend hundreds of thousands of yen to pay a priest to chant Buddhist scriptures they don’t believe in.

Hmm... I cant imagine myself paying for an OS that need that I expend more money on hardware. Mac is cool but beyond my budget. PC is worth only the games and Linux need that I learn more programing. I hope that Chrome be free + ease to install and configure, that can convince me to run PC and Linux on my desktop.

Next time lets try a slow crumbling of the regime like the fall of the communism in East Europe.
About who killed the people, in my opinion any invading and later ocupation force have responsability of the security of the civilians. No one can say that is in charge of the security of the place and later say "its not my fault if they killed each other when I replaced the local security".

1 - Why "anyone" have to take the "reins"?
2 - If the USA is highly in debt with China, is dificult beliebe that the world owe economic recovery to the USA. The last and maybe the next recovery have more to do with China, India, Russia and Brazil.
3 - The world is not monolitic, not everyone is asking the USA to fix their problems.
4 - The idea that the US try to fix the problems of the world is a delusion, the USA do what is convenient for the USA, just like anybody else.

The world to Obama: And who told you that we think so? Only arrogants can think that they can fix it all. We are happy enough if the USA: a) dont start wars and b) dont start financial crisis. Anything else is a bonus.

Thats sound to me like that Hatoyama dont have any real intention of do it. If we are going to do it lets do it, there is no point on hope that others follow us, the group mentality dont work well outside J and westerners with the USA at the head have a rater strong individualistic culture. Just show some balls for a change in place of be affraid of criticism.

The easeast way is like restructuring a company on bankruptcy. A bunch of corrupt and innept managers are in charge and need to be replaced by the midle managers that have a better idea of what reforms are neded, but failed to get the political support for rise on their sections. For a real reform, DPJ need to have a bunch a people that have a clue about what an economic policy really means.
