Nice proofreading JT.
How is 240-250 from 230-240 for fries and increase?
Moderator: It's a 10-yen increase. What don't you understand about it?

The poop stain is classic. This guy is roasted, and can you imagine the smell around him? That is why nobody has picked up the coins.

He is the guy from "Dragon Ash". I honestly didn't think that they were still around.
This is the most poorly written asinine article I have yet to see on JT. It is reflective of a news organization not having a voice or direction.

Talk about an "unwelcome export".
Honestly, Japanese TV is so pedant that it seems they wouldn't want the rest of the world to see it. They already pulled "wai wai", and this will replace it in spades!

RDJ JR. Once again you prove to be the most mindless reactionary person on this board. The Japanese didn't even prosecute him. The ONLY reason he got any time at all is because the military refused to let it slip through the cracks.
It isn't/wasn't more than a misdemeanor crime for him because the sex was consensual between he and the girl. The only reason he got time at all was for stealing 12000 yen and indecency.
Tell me a case in Japan where ANYONE gets 12 months for that?

For once, I agree with RJD JR. I truly feel that often the Japanese Police look down a bit at the "Bar girl" community, and tend to not be as observant or diligent in getting the facts.
In this case, we cannot discount the fact a "bar girl" (loosely termed, as it has been indicated she was "sold" by the bar for a night of sex, making her in fact a "prostitute", left her place of business in order to be with this individual. If she was totally on the up and up, I am sure she would have kept herself in the "bar".
Also, this is the 1000000000000000000000th time I have heard this same sob story about a poor girl from the farms of the Philipines coming to Japan to earn money for an injured (insert father, brother, sister, uncle, dog, cat, next door neighbor here). Basically, the family prostitutes their own daughter so the parents do not have to work.
I hope that this person gets his just desserts for what he has done. Regardless of her profession, assault, rape, or any other ill treatment of women by a Military person regardless of national origin is WRONG, and I hope it wont be overlooked by the Military Prosecuters if it is fact.

My My My. Where to begin here.
The author is simply another "look at me look at me" schmoe who wants to get the Nobel Prize simply for doing the right thing.
First off, is it was a set of Keys. Keys. Keys. Thats it. Not a diabetics important insulin. Not the cure for cancer. Keys. Probably belonging to a Janitor, not the "super exec" he fantisizes was going to give him the proverbial reach-around.
The cop who wouldn't abandon his shift or shirk his duties of guarding an area to spend hours filling out a report regarding a lost set of tumbler actuators, kindly refering him to the proper source was obviously a fool! Couldn't the idiot see that the cure for cancer was behind some lock no doubtedly opened by these very keys!
Oh, the humanity.
No phone call. No wet kisses. See if he ever does the right thing again! Why bother when you can't get an award for being mediocre.
Grow up. Get a life.

Well, rjd jr, many of the opinions come because JT CONSTANTLY promulgates articles that are slanted against the US military with virtually every quote or ever contributor having a negative bias. You yourself have on multiple occasions slammed everything from US policy to military affairs in your own posts.
My angst is for the unchecked or unchallanged opinions being thrust forward as fact. In the above article, the "men" (loosely termed) she spoke with seem to be content with the blanket of security that they are provided with, then in the same sentence flip and criticize the very providors.
She is a retired RESERVE Colonel. A weekend warrior. Not once does it give and active campaign in which she participated, but her rank is being throw around like she is a dissedent war hero. Not so at all. She is a known anti-war activist. She had a large part in helping Cindy Sheehan (the wack job who used her sons death as a personal rally point, and in turn kept all the death benefits and didn't even put a gravestone over her fallen sons burial plot.)
Look at the places she has served as a diplomat! In many it was the policy of these "diplomats" working against military efforts which gave power to the warlords leading to additional deaths of military and civilian personnel. ** I was in Somolia and saw this firsthand**.
Far be it from me to say she should't have her opinion, but can't JT post some commentaries from BOTH sides? We understand the left bias is popular here in Japan since they do not have to suffer the consequence of their actions in the past due to the support of the US.
Only so long can you bite the hand that feeds until you will be forced to go hungry.

Japan is so blind to their own history just 50 years ago. They pretend and posture like they can do no wrong, but they are by far the aggressor when history is called in.

Actually, I don't think Japan wants to own up to any of their defense responsibilities. The only reason Japan can enjoy their status ans sucess now is because they have been comfortable under the protection of the US. If the rest of Japan took your side on this, you might as well call out the artisians to change the names on the maps and create the new flag for "West Korea".

Why wouldn't JT use the "Panasonic" moniker as stated on the battery? Is there political currency to be made by pushing the unused except in Japan name of "Matsushta"?
