and only adds to the frustration level of the viewers, ultimately creating a more violent society as a whole.

Yeah, Japan is such a violent society. Can't tell you how much I fear for my safety here. LMAO!

sailwind, your post was addressed to me, but the content was not. I have not justified these terrorist attacks. I deem them unjustified even if a part of their rage is justified. Intentionally and knowingly killing random people cannot be justified in any circumstance.

We know soldiers sometimes kill innocents.

My gripe is about robots killing innocents, and how that comes back to us.

The attack by the unmanned aircraft marks a new stage in Washington's war on terror and a step up in US assistance for Yemeni President Ali Abdallah Salih's fight against the suspected terrorists who have taken refuge in his country.

Do you have any idea how key that is? We had permission to be there. That is not the case in Pakistan.

You should stay away from Hollywood. All of them happen that way. Do you think they just choose the targets at random?

You give me a single case. Yet nothing in there about orders being given for an attack. Come on, if they are ALL that way, surely you can do better than this!

A missile fired by an unmanned American aircraft over Yemen has killed six suspected al Qaeda terrorists

That little word "suspected" is pretty important. This is why you try to capture these people and only kill them if they offer lethal resistance. I am not against collecting intel in this manner, but killing people like this is still cowardly.

Certain situations I would like to over-look it. This is a good example. Trouble is that once you do that you go right down the slippery slope. You go from this to being a whole lot less sure and violating the sovereignty of an ally. That is what happened in Pakistan. Insurgents are not the same as members of al-Quaida.

What happened there might be a direct cause of the attacks in India. That is why the drone attacks should be seen for the cowardice they are and ended immediately.

Tell that to the families of the 78 people how "just" this is.

Its NOT. I clearly said the targets were NOT legitimate, so give me break.

Let me explain: what I found and read today said that his/her parts were small and created by surgery. They were weak and could not take the stress.

Without knowing that, I thought Hopstock had brutalized him/her. That made rape seem a lot more likely. It now seems that may not be the case. It now seems like the sex was consensual, thought I may have forgotten some details.

I can't remember what his/her excuses were for going into a hotel room with Hopstock, but that question is huge.

Anyway, it seems that he/she was unaware that she had been rented out by the club owner. That plus the brutalization made me think Hopstock took what he paid for by force (he still may have). But if the bleeding was caused by sex with an artificial orifice, then maybe Hopstock did not brutalize him/her after all.

What I got is coming up inconclusive.

But I have to say this: If you are not handing the money straight to the prostitute, then you deserve to get smacked. However, Hopstock might be getting smacked a little too hard.

Terrorism wasnt created in The Iraq war nor is it the magic link or smoking gun why terrorist attacks happen other places, even though some want to paint that picture..

So would you say this particular attack has no specific causes, or is just another in a string of attacks in the history of terrorism that would have happened no matter what?

Terrorism has been with us for a long time, but most every attack has some specific impetus or impetuses and those impetuses might be quite real or extremely exaggerated. In this case I am thinking they are real, maybe even just, although the targets obviously are NOT legitimate.

Terrorism is so often only completely black by use of willful ignorance. It is never white, granted, but there is a lot of grey.

So let's say we had good intelligence that this attack was about to take place and the gunmen were gathered at a local mosque nearby getting their final orders as to what targets they were going to be assigned to to attack and gathering their weapons.

    Do you attack or not?

Nice set up. Trouble is you cannot tell me that ANY drone attack EVER happened that way, save inside of a Hollywood movie.

At any rate I recommend leaving it to the authorities of that sovereign nation. Because the mistake of violating that nation's sovereignty combined with the potential of massacring innocent people in this way is bound to make a lot of people angry, no matter how many times you cry collateral damage.

Such a cowardly act may save lives on one side today, but it seems like more will be taken on the other side tomorrow.

What the bloody heck is going on today?

I checked, and yes, it turns out that she is biologically a he. And the fact that his surgically granted female sex parts were apparently not up to the task can explain what caused the bleeding. And it also seems that he/she did not go to a hospital for many reasons which explains the sorry state he/she was found in in the morning.

I was very against Hopstock until this information was posted here. All I read about the case and I never heard that. Now its gone.

These are attacks in India and a Muslim group is taking responsibility. That means there is a strong chance that these attacks are related to events in Afghanistan and the related ones that occurred in Pakistan, Pakistan formerly being a part of India, and Indian Muslims having strong relations to Pakistan.

That means the recent drone attacks on Pakistan are most likely very relevant to this.

And such attacks are extremely cowardly. Even more so than shooting unarmed people whose faces you can see, which is close behind. It seems to me that one set of cowardly attacks has led to another. If you don't like it, then explain to me why am wrong.

Funny how cowards are so often attacking the wrong people, isn't it? So is this what this is about? Some cowardly attacks deserve some more cowardly attacks?

I miss the attitude of people like Baron Manfred von Richthofen who refused orders to strafe ground troops because it was a totally unfair advantage. That was honor. That was courage. Both seem to be in short supply these days.

“We condemn these attacks and the loss of innocent life,” White House spokesman Tony Fratto said.

I bet Tony could point out some people who earned this fate rather the innocent in Mumbai. I doubt there were any bomb droppers or target designators among those westerners. Every time we take the advise of cowards it sparks a vicious cycle of cowardly violence against people who didn't even do anything.

The chickens come home to roost. "Chickens" is right, but they are not quite "home", are they?

    J-porn tends to pre-teens

In general it most certainly does not. Some anime and manga do, and they have as many mosaics as anything else. Maybe also some random bathing suit pictures. About on the level of child beauty pageants really.

What are you talking about? A child peeping out of curiosity and and pedophiles require completely different responses.

Such as to "toast this fool", as FreeInJapan suggests? I said he should get a sentence, and I meant jail. I do not think that will knock the pedophilia out of him, (which he might not actually be as the crime seems more fixated on the toilet acts than the fact they children) but it might teach him to respect privacy.

“Budget reform is not an option. It is an imperative. We cannot sustain a system that bleeds billions of taxpayer dollars on programs that have outlived their usefulness, or exist solely because of the power of a politician, lobbyist or interest group.”

Hallelujah and look out Senator Byrd and West Virginia!

While I salute budget cuts, and I mean BIG ones, I disagree with throwing more non-existent money at the problem. The U.S. could use a recession and the common sense and humility that comes with one.

Yeah, downplay it. Good plan! Wait, wuh?

I once caught my little sister peeping into the bathroom as I was taking a pee. I flipped out. I made her feel really bad. Why? It didn't do anyone any good at all. It was a stupid reaction planted their by my society. We would all hope an adult would outgrow such a fascination, but I don't think pulling out our hair is going to make it happen.

I talked with Japanese friends and when issues like this come up, they don't get angry or insulted. They don't get sad or embarrassed. They do however laugh at it...

Will pounding your fist on the table and screaming your head off solve anything? Westerners often insist on such childish responses I find, and then turn around and call Japan a nation of children!

I don't want anyone filming my time on the throne either, but it really only gets to be a big issue by forcing it to be so. If we freak then the girls freak even more. Is that a good thing? I do not think so. Give him his sentence and downplay this. None of it goes away because everyone went red with rage. In fact, it seems to get worse.

I've always wondered about a society that treats women and men's crotch areas the same as someone wearing a pair of handcuffs, with the naive notion that using the fuzzies will actually "hide" them all from someone or "protect" someone from someone else. The authorities' stupidity is clearly in plain view.

Easy to call it stupidity. Its just another way of doing things. As with so many matters of law, the whole thing is based on something else that is outdated and unrelated. Everyone is working around it. The history of western porn and legality is pretty stupid too. Go back to the days where if you were filming a movie with a man and woman in bed, they both had to have one foot of the floor. Look at how pathetically simple Playboy was and is and how Hustler came along and changed everything and how the moral crazies tried to turn the clock back. And look at how random some of the rulings are, stretching everything to try and define what is obscene and what is not.

Not quite. The reason Western porn companies are not producing flicks with people dressed and acting like little girls (or animated flicks where they characters ARE little girls!) is because that would fall into the illegal realm

Case in point. Why is this illegal if no actual little girls or underage teens are involved? Does not change what they are trying to portray though.

Anyway, making those would drive them out of business, being illegal. That was my point.

Just wanted to clean the air, if that's possible on such a thread... haha.

If only we could talk in more detail. Peace.

Where did I say no one else has other standards?

You didn't. I was merely pointing it out to offset the singling out of Japan.

    I said that illegal porn must clearly be raunchy given what it legal here;

I find it to be a false premise for defining "raunchy". Those videos are illegal only because the genitals are not blotted out. (Granted that you admitted that.)

I can say without a doubt I have NEVER seen any rape in other porn, staged or otherwise, except ONCE in some weird Korean movie

Do a web search. You will be surprised. Also, several mainstream Hollywood films have some good rape scenes. Somewhat limited in time and scope, but pretty stimulating if that is what you are into. If not, they are disturbing. Watch the French film "Irreversible" with Monica Bellucci.

don't try to sell me off on 'the babysitter' fantasy being the same as someone dressed up like a little girl!

But that is what they are shooting for. If they are falling short I think it is only because they must or they will be out of business. Plenty of other examples of skirting around the issue so as not to arouse those who are in denial.

Here's one more fact for you, my friend: 99% of Asian porn is produced and sold out of Japan.

All that says to me is that other Asians are really tightly wound up.

for the actual CONTENT to be illegal it would have to be raunchy stuff.

Using popular definitions for "raunchy", I have to agree.
