Depends on the material and how well it is written, I guess. But in general it seems as though it is just as was said above. It just dumbs down reading for the masses. (Of course there are some good ones). Kind of a shame really. I have always thought of reading as a way to challenge yourself and learn new words.

At least "Arafo" is slightly clever. But "gu"!? How bad can it get?! daisan. I just didn`t think it could be that stupid and win.

What on earth does "gu" mean? Sorry. Don`t watch much TV here. I hope this is not just the bastardization of "good".

That cardboard guy is lucky indeed. I just checked Yuko out on the net. She is very spanky.

Tragic for both parties. Yes, I think that his being unemployed is crucial to the outcome. He should be given a stiffer sentence based on this.

Did you even watch the video or read the article hoserfella? You really seem to be stuck on this Greenland thing. You really need some more material. I also mentioned rainforests. Do you want to get on my case about not having been there either? And your response is as I expected. I think you can be a little more constructive than that. Because you are really hurting my feelings now.

Sarge. I believe a panel of 2000 scientists from all over the globe. But I guess you probably believe good ol` George Bush.

No. I am no expert on global warming and I have not been to Greenland but at least I check out the source of my information before being so boastful.

Oh hoserfella. Do you not know who Fred Singer is? He is a scientist yes, but also a corporate lackey. For your reading and viewing pleasure please check out the following links. http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/denialmachine/video.html http://guardian.co.uk/environment/2005/may/10/environment.columnists You picked an article by one of the few crackpots out there who refutes the global warming science. What a joke! Do you know the meaning of bogus? Hard evidence? This guy can certainly not be trusted. Read and watch. Somehow, however, I don`t think YOU will be convinced.

Oh I say hoserfella. Were the glaciers and polar ice caps melting and breaking off at the same rate 50 years ago as now? The hottest years on record have all been in the last 20 years. Rainforests and all forests for that matter were still plentiful 50 years ago and as a result offset the CO2 released into the atmosphere. Do you know anything about this issue or do you just like to rant about nothing? Anyone who does not heed the warning signals is out of touch. Not Prince Charles. You are talking about ONE year in your last rant. Scientists are talking about patterns over many years. Have you been up to Greenland and measured weather patterns deep into glaciers? Of course it may differ from year to year. Thus the word unpredictable. No one is asking anyone to run for the hills for any reason. Who said that? You are just one of those who will put down anyone who cares about the Earth and the greater good of people. Would it hurt people to live a little more responsibly towards the environment? And as for the word "suckers", people who have anxiety about the future of the planet are from from suckers.

Global warming will cause extreme and unpredictable weather. It won`t necessarily cause an ice age. hoserfella. if you think there is no environmental problem, YOU absolutely have no idea what YOU are talking about.

His "snobbishness" aside, he is absoutely right. Economies have always gone up or down over the centuries. Our environment however is on a steady downward trend. Anyone who knows anything about this problem knows that we are already in danger. Coral reefs are dying, glaciers are melting at alaming rates. With continued rampant deforestation and continued increases in fossil fuels being pumped into the atmosphere, the Earth
s environment is going to rapidly deteriorate. I dont care what people like OgieDogie say. It is already happening.Posted in: Prince Charles says global warming more important than financial crisis

For the sake of a better world, let
s hope Obama wins. Maybe he cant change things all at once but another war monger like Bush is the last thing we need. Unless you are a profiteer of course.Posted in: Who do you hope will be the next U.S. president?

Notginger. If the girls around town were in their underwear under a spotlight, they might not be as hot as you think. You may see their adipose or moles. This girl is showing all and still looks great! Get real.
