How ironic that right wing Japanese are celebrating salvation of Jews from Nazi Germany while denying and whitewashing Japan's own crimes against humanity?

The pathetic truth is that Hollywood is very racist and still hold very cavalier and dismissive attitudes toward Asians as well as Asian Americans.

iPhone are for children and old people. It's not even close anymore. Apple has fallen behind and with Chinese phones crowding out cheaper phone market it's forcing high end market to be even more competitive than before.

LOLOL. Japan claiming they "discovered" Dokdo terra nullis in 1905 is basis of modern "claim". I suppose Japan also 'discovered' Manchuria, and the Pacific theater during WWII.

Nice "peace" memorial Japan. This is what Yasukuni stands for in Japan.

Ug... Yasukuni might be palatable for decent human being if they cleansed that place of all the fascist, revisionist, war glorifying crap. Japan is morally regressing rather than moving forward.

Best and easiest is dwenjang chigae. Make broth in a small pot with dried anchovies, daikon, kelp(only little bit), etc. Some dried or fresh shrimp does wonders for the broth if you have it.

Dice up an onion, zuchinni or squash, a pepper of some sort spicy if you want, mushrooms, a potato, and whatever veggies you like, chunkier the better imo. Mince couple cloves of garlic. sprinkle some korean pepper flakes if you want. Add sliced tofu on top.

Put everything in pot and boil. In midst of boil add 4, 5 tablespoons of dwenjang. Make sure it's mixed in well and clumped.

    Add sliced scallion at end.

Eat it. It's highly customizable and healthy for you.

LOL This "apology" comes complete with denials and accusations that women were uncoerced prostitutes and confirmation that the money paid is not reparation and Korea has to take down their memorial to these poor women. Whatever happened to honor or honesty?

Believe it or not, there are no public speeches or demonstrations in Korea where they openly call Japanese cockroaches and racist insults. The fact that these hate speech incidences occur in Japan by neo-fascist types is an embarrassment to decent Japanese.

I actually think Japanese cinema is too stuck on anime form of story-telling rather than actually telling a story as it's own art media. You see this in how the scenes are used, cliched patterns used over and over again. Japanese film creators need a hard break with anime.

Korea u23 played the first half of their lives and forgot that there was a second half and played right into japan's tactic of defense focused play as they ran oit of gas. Total lack of management experience as well as player experience for Korea but then that's why these tourneys are valuable. Motm japanese coach.

She a typical turncoat in Korean society. They always exist in colonial contexts. This is a very well worn narrative in Korea.

What a fiasco of "apology" BS. Abe came into power running on platform to rescind the Kono statement and then claimed that Comfort Women were "willing" prostitutes calling surviving women and those who died from Korea, China, Philippines, Australia, Netherlands, Malaysia, all liars. Abe then celebrates the "apology" with statements about how Japan won't be hassled by the issue. Then this clown MP repeats the moronic denial again. Japan obvious does not feel "apologetic" about anything since its leaders don't even think Japan did anything wrong. It must be some Japanese zen magic to deny and apologize at the same time. I didn't do it but I'm sorry it happened but I didn't do it.

LOL. It's is pathetic and somewhat hilarious that posters in 2016 think it's somehow appropriate to whine about having to deal with victims who were RAPED by Japanese soldiers. That's what happens when you you rape, murder, steal and the like. How about apply a smidgen of honor, decency, honesty and just own up to your crimes. You are talking about pennies in comparison to rest of Japan's budget. Apologizing and acting honorably to all these poor women and victims will do about 100 times more good for Japan's image than all the stupid and cheesy PR campaigns.

Japan should grow up and own up to ALL it's war crimes so that the world can move on. The reason why this statue was created bc Abe stirred up the waters by making comments about Comfort Women being not coerced and now he's suddenly making "apologies" while immediately declaring Japan won't be pestered by this issue anymore rather than showing any signs of genuine contrition. This statue isn't government property and created, paid by and maintained by lawful NPO/NGO's.

This is like Japan telling the US government to control Greenpeace. Korean Council for Women Drafted for Sexual Slavery by Japan is an independent NPO. The Korean government can't tell them what to do. Also the Korean government nor the surviving sex slaves don't really care about money. These grandmothers don't have families and are facing death in the face. They want Japan to take responsibility for its WWII crimes.

Think about how much choice a 15, 16 year old girl who is starving has when she is shipped across the globe and placed in a camp with military men. Just bc there are stories of kindness or girls capitulating to their situations doesn't really change the narrative all that much.
