myocardial infarction...heart attack in English. Try googling it and you will see that cardiovascular related diseases is the number 1 cause of death in the world. I doubt if it has anything to do with radiation. But yes its Fukushima so its reported on the news. Acute radiation...thats unlikely as it should have cause death to all people exposed in the same area at that time. Radiation related illness? unlikely as death by radiation usually induces cancer cells and well it will take years before you develop one.

China has been claiming all surrounding islands as their own. They claim the Spratly's island including portions of Philippine territory (Palawan Island) and has been aggressively sinking boats on the area. The funny thing is that this only started when Phil govt found that the area is rich in natural gas and oil.
The same thing with these Senkaku islands. Before there was any exploration on the area, these islands were integral part of Japan territory. The Chinese govt recognized Japan sovereignty over these islands for hundreds of years. But then Japan found natural gas few decades back....and the story goes on.
China is a bully. Nobody can stand in its way now, not with Japan spineless politicians who don't understand a thing. Give a Vietnamese or a Philippine army with a knife and they will fight to protect their country. Give a Japanese the most advanced submarine fleet, frigates, air force and still they will give up without giving up a fight.
The passiveness of the Japanese govt has caused all its recent problem. They bury their head in the sand and avaoid all conflict at all cost.
Let the Chinese claim the whole of Japan and still Japan will sit back relax and probably will whine but never take any action.

source? I understand some people don't watch TV and if they do they don't understand Japanese. It was directly qouted from a high ranking member of the university during an interview about the circumstances of the events. And yes, legal proceedings are ongoing too...so there is more to it then the report.

Invest in Japan? closed to the rest of the world? are you serious? Is greater Europe part of TPP? NO. As far as I remember there are less than 20 countries who signed for the TPP. Just look how much havoc the FTA and deregulation brought to the rest of the world. CAPITALISM is an end to itself. USA wants this badly because OBAMA wants the vote with the strong lobbying from the agricultulture section...US can freely sell their products to Japan just like the Meiji era where Japan is a total subservient to the wishes of USA.
Posted in: Without the TPP, Japan has no future. It would be hard for foreign firms to invest here if our country showed signs of being closed to the rest of the world.

China and Korea did actually try to invade Japan with overwhelming force, not once but twice but failed. Japan invaded China and Korea succeeded. But then Japan is the only evil nation. Try figuring that out.

Religion is the opium of the people according to Karl Marx and in a sense it is true. You will find many corrupt countries plagued with all kinds of social problems like kidnapping, murder, rape, prostitution, lawlessness and the like and yet they profess a very strong sense of religion or belief in their god. Care to look at countries occupied by Spain? The spaniards brought with their conquest the religion of Catholicism and use it to enslave people and pillage them at the same time preaching about God. Of course, we can see the great and mighty USA claiming to be a dominant Christian country doing the same thing preaching the gospel of salvation at the same time busy in supporting dictators and corrupt government just to get hold of precious oil and other precious materials around the world. The Islam faith while preaching the gospel of peace are so busy killing each other and of course the infidels...
So what can we conclude? the morality and values of the people actually do not reflect the religion they profess. I do read a passage from the Christian Bible that said, be witnesses by living your life according to your faith and people around you will see God in your life. And while most Japanese don't read the Bible nor have an idea who is God is, I do not see them inferior to other countries shouting religion and righteousness.

The good Samaritan act varies from place to place but the gist is 1. in the absencence of imminent danger the good samaritan is liable for any injuries that ensue because of his/her action is considered reckless 2. if the responder decided to help, he must not leave the victim until a more competent person arrives 3. the good samaritan law only protects the medical/emergency/paramedical staffs from lawsuit
so if you decided to help and things did not go the right way you are cooked

While the Philippines has quite a number of men's club and establishments catering to these low life forms, it is unbelievable that such rude comment came out from an American ambassador destined in that particular country. I think he should resign his position or better yet the White House has to recall this guy before he strains the relationship of these 2 countries.
If the Americans wants to enjoy the sex industry that is their problem. Just wondering if there are no whores in the great USA.

well, she was berated by her agency for not returning regardless. In Japan, there is no room for reason. People go mountain climbing in thunderstorms because it was scheduled, kids play under sweltering heat because it was scheduled, school having sports day when its is almost unbearable to be just outside...and yes people died countless times but in the end the schedule must be followed. Japan is a country where the show must go on regardless.
I don't get it either.
Maybe the Japanese can explain their lunacy.

well to those who seems to be very critical to the mothers's method, why don't you volunteer your time to be a postive role to the kid and to the parents? That is worth trying...but you just simply hinding behind the keyboard spewing your litany and righteousness.
I would simply toss the kid out for a week.

After buying SPSS 12 full module, a newer software came and now we are on SPSS 19.
After buying Adobe CS 3 premium now we are on Adobe CS5.5.
If you wish to upgrade the cost is 1/3 of the retail price but still that is quite steep.
After buying expensive softwares, why don't we have the right to get the new updated sotwares for free or minimal fee?
Just stating the obvious. If these companies aren't so greedy, we don't have much piracy.

this is the longest typhoon I ever had...48 hours
typhoons are deadly, that is why people prepare for it so that they will not in anyway perish. For that reason, only a few died.
I don't know but why do we have people here claiming otherwise. If hundreds of thousands of people decided to live along the river and then the river swelled because of a typhoon and caused massive lost of lives like in Katrina, why do you call it deadly? I don't understand the logic of calling it deadlier, I say it its a lack of common sense.

Having her SIM though is a bit difficult to defend in court. People don't sell SIM on the net nor it is easily acquired as it requires owwneship transfer unlike prepaid cards. But hey, I give them credit for being able to get to this point. I say lucky break.

do you understand Japanese and can you read the Japanese newspaper? I know you saw his face on the TV when FUJI TV was trying to sell his album and FUJI TV did had the whole week having his face on TV, guessed on almost all talk shows, even Music staion, mentioning how popular he is in Japan...so a news paper ran a questionnaire about him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moRaU4oH0Eo

really? Why is it every tsutaya I visit is so full of Korean drama but nobody is borrowing? I mean its 100 yen for each on special days... propaganda at its best...
I remember a Korean talent or whatever recently who arrived at Haneda with about 80 young girls waiting and then he said "ore dake miru" "uso ha daisuki" and they have a complete press and now with a commercial...anyway, it turned out that the girls were paid 2,000 Yen each, with lunch boxes, kits, and various items but well the TV station reported 800 girls were waiting for him. To get the picture, how many were waiting for Johnny Depp when he comes to Tokyo? 200. How many were waiting for the Japanese Womens team at the airport? less than 400
SO if you believe this reporting, go on.
Wondering whay there are no figures or sources?
