The police report of the total number of demonstrators during the Aug 21 rally against Fuji programming was 38,000 plus. Fuji TV reported 400 people. And yes, it is a total news black out.

    got from the net:

    1. Fuji TV indeed has a Youtube channel since 2006. Any idiot can enter "fuji tv" from the search bar and arrive there.

The comments left behind by angry internet users ignited by the controversial tweet by Takaoka has now reached 140k in less than a week. Which is more than 20,000 criticisms a day.

    1. Sousuke Takaoka got fired not from Fuji TV, but from his Agency which was probably pressured by the largest Media Conglomerate in Japan, Fuji Media Holdings Inc. which has over 160 media companies under its control. He was fired for criticizing that there are too many Korean contents on Fuji TV. Many Japanese feel this is in violation of his freedom of speech.

    2. Foreigners hold 28.59% of Fuji Media Holdings stock. This can be verified on 証券保管振替機構, a Japanese Stock Exchange Agency. This subject has also been taken up by some of the Japanese media shortly after Takaoka Twitter Controversy.

The Japanese broadcasting law states that the foreign investment must be below 20% for a public TV station. What Fuji has done is, they have made about 9.9% of these shares non-voting stocks and so has slipped thru the loophole in the law. Source: ttp://www.c-direct.ne.jp/publi...

This is not only highly shady, but by this method, even if the actual shares held by the foreigners rise to, say, 60%, theoretically Fuji can still claim to be within the limits of law, and enjoy broadcasting rights. They need to simply make 40% of the shares non-voting. But just because the shares are non-voting, can you honestly believe large shareholders have no influence over the company? Atleast the Japanese public do not think so.

carrotpeas is right that Fuji does not disclose the nationality of the foreign shareholders. It may or may not be Korean. Personally, I believe this is not a matter of nationality, but the very fact that a large portion of the stocks of a huge media company such as Fuji is in the hands of foreign investors is a matter of national security. One needs only to consider the huge influence media giant has over the Japanese public thru tv, newspaper, radio and magazine.

    1. Fuji TV held monopoly broadcasting rights over World Figure Skating Championships for the last several years. They did not broadcast in live the awards ceremonies and national anthems when the Japanese skaters won the championship (several times in fact). This in itself maybe ok. But then, they did showed it in full, ceremony and anthem and all, when a Korean figure skater won the championship.

And recently Fuji again cut the live coverage of the ceremony and anthem when the Japanese team won the FIFA Women's World Cup. Needless to say, many people in Japan were watching it live, wanting to share the moment of joy.

    1. There are countless videos now uploaded in Youtube that show that Fuji has been using subliminal effects (manipulating the subconscious of the viewers) to promote Korean contents. These evidences show that in programs that have nothing to do with Korea, they slip in images of kpop star, put in words like "love korea" in the background, and use korean national flag designs in the background. The thing to note is that it's all in the background and only after careful observation can you make them out to be such. Google subliminal effect for details. It's been banned by law btw.

FUJI network major stcokholders are Koreans and thus the programming is quite biased to Korean network. They cut the awarding ceremonies of Mao Asada, the women's soccer team, Miki Ando and other Japanese but have a detailed, complete airing of Kim Yuna winning the Olypics among others. Hell they even called the recent soccer game held in Japan as Korean-Japan football game in contrast to other networks calling it Japan-Korean football. This was later corrected when Japan won the game easily and they changed it to Japan-Korean match.

Anyway, Japanese TV programming is rubbish, predictable, boring and nauseating.

Only a few good ones worth watching.

When the UN chided Japan to control the inflow of human trafficking, Japan did comply and thus the number of SE being employed as prostitutes or the likes decreased. To circumvert the law, the underworld Japan has been busy recruitng people for marriage so that they can bring the young Asian girls to work in pink salons. Should you be in Roppongi, the Philippine embassy is just around the corner and you can see very young Filipinas with suspicious Japanese with them. Often, they register the marriage and while the papers are in the process, they let the girls work while the application is being verified then after 6 mos, they will file a divorce and get another FIlipina or Chinese or Vietnamese or whatever. I know one Japanese who got married 3x in span of 2 years.

BTW, the program was aired in FUJI TV, the Korean Television network of Japan. Not only that, when the Hiroshima atomic bombing was being celebrated, FUJI Korean TV Network had a show with one of the main actor wear a bright yellow dress with the writing FOOLS ON THE HILLS LITTLE BOY (the name of the atomic bomb). How low can FUJI TV get? Ask the Koreans, maybe they know.

saw the demo, the number is more than 2,000...in fact somebody made a video count on youtube and said its about 2,700 something. What to expect, FUJI TV's biggest shareholders are Koreans (more than 25% of FUJI TV shares) so expect more of Korean artist, drama, movies, music until you have enough to regurgitate.

TEPCO is not and does not have the right to do anything about the nuclear reactor plant without the approval of the government. All nuclear facilities in Japan is under the direct control of the government and only the govt decides what to do with it. They only make it appear that TEPCO is running the show but the truth is it is under the direct control of the governmnet.

The Americans offered immediate help but was refused so that the first foreigners to come to Japan aid albeit only 5 foreigners are Koreans and it was shown on primetime TV. Other countries were kept abay so that Kan can portray the Koreans as heroes (Kan has fathered a Korean according to the Japanese news and seems to be an ongoing relationship)...

Who refused the Americans? Its Kan not TEPCO.

TEPCo rents the facility from the government. It is under METI, not owned nor controlled by TEPCO. All nuclear power plants in Japan is owned and controlled by the Japanese government and it is only for leash to private companies. That is why when the government decided to stop one nuclear plant, the company has no other recourse but to follow (well, the govt wants to make sure nobody is making any nuclear warheads in my opinion and selling it to NK). So, when the buck stops where it should stop, the ever stp** Kan runs from his responsibility. I say he is a perfect HOMER. Literally speaking.

How about quiting Mr. Kan? You are in the way for Japan recovery. You don't have any vison nor leadership skills and yes...I say you are pretty dumb.

this news doesn't make sense....The Japanese man had a son from his first wife then maybe got divorced. Then he got himself a young girl from Philippines. The girl does not want the boy so the father brought the girl's cousin to take care of the boy??? it does not make sense at all. Then why would the cousin of the girl kill the boy? It has no purpose, no meaning....

    Are we missing something here?

explosion not likely, maybe a meltdown. If a meltdown occurs, the plant will be buried under sand and concrete and surrounded by thick walls to prevent radiation over a wide area. Remember its an inverse square law which means the raidoactivity falls 1/4 when the distance from the source of radiation is doubled. The radiation recorded in Tokyo was 5x less than a dental x-ray.

Well, if you take a look back at history, the place where the reactors were built was actually a deserted place with no village, towns, or cities around it. When the plant was built, people started building houses, around the plant then a village was formed..after 40 years the town grew into such a huge community, all depending on the PowerPlant. Those who live nearby gets around 2 to 3 Million Yens subsidy per year coming from the plant..because it created a sense of normalcy and peace having houses built just around the plant.

The PowerPlant gave, the powerplant takes it away. People in Iwate also learned the lesson hard...That particular place is known to have powerful tsunamis and almost in the last century they got 4 monstrous tsunamis that wiped out their villages and took thousands of lives but because it it a very rich fishing ground they kept on returning and building their villages around that place.

Build your house on a rock it will stay. Build your house on a sand, it will sink.
