US and Europe stay out of Libya because it is a civil war not a peaceful demontration. The previous monarchy was ousted by Gadhafi and these remaining monarchs are now trying to wrestle back their control..and yes by using violence. Egypt succeeded because the people peacefully and without fear fought for what they believe, Libya is another. Both sides hold machine guns, bombs, tanks, mortars and othe weapons of war and are busy killing each other.

The old guy has not enough money to heat the whole house so he lived in the toilet which has a smaller space and can be heated by cheap space heaters. Makes sense to me.

Lee is a North Korean who became a Japanese citizen when he turned 20 years old because he has to choose nationality by that age as required by Japanese law. He plays for NK if NK goes into tournament and even plays against Japan when required. I don't know if he will ever be welcomed to SK though...but great goal. It really looked like a movie scene the way he made that goal.

This is Japan. Ask the gaijin who was sent to prison because he stood up against a train molester and the girl did run when the commotion started leaving the poor gaijin in a fix. As I remember, the gaijin did paid a handsome fine, lost his job, and was sent packing after serving his term.

My wife told me never to interfere in such cases unless the girl is your family or close friend because the victim will usually run away and will not press charges...mendokusai for them but its your life on line. Let the girl react and if she screams for help then help but do not initate action as there will be no witnesses to help you. Once the commotion starts, the girl will be gone and you are left with nothing but trouble.

The problem is that when somebody will confront the man and the man becomes violent or aggressive and play the role of the victim once the cops arrive...that will be a big trouble. There has been a lot of cases that somebody intervenes and when the cops arrive, the girl runs away and leave the poor guy in a fix. Solution? First let the victim scream or ask for help then people will react. If not...sorry ladies but its the guys job on line should things get out of control. Japanese ladies tends to run away and will not testify.

I remember an old lady who slashed a girl in Shibuya few years back. She has been trying to get to prison by shoplifting and eating without paying but the police keeps on releasing her and its close to winter so she went out, slashed some poor young lady and waited for the police to come and lock her for a longer period of time. I am sure she will do it again once she is out.

Krispy Kreme should have studied Japanese psyche before expanding into the market. Japanese like omiyage thats why people waited in lines when there was such a limited number of stores around. Now, they opened branches in almost all major stations in Tokyo and Yokohama and ...people are not buying. Most of the stores are almost empty and none of the famous queue anymore.

The place was considered dangerous because it is secluded and there is no existing security let alone anybody on the area. Numerous account of stealing had been reported on the area that's why travel guide books and pamphlets has erased it from the map but you can get all the info from the net. It was believed she went there late afternoon or near dusk, alone. She put herserlf in harms way, inviting all kinds of trouble...a naked woman, in a secluded place, away from any help...is there any common sense for some Japanese?

BING is GREAT!!! i have been using google for many years now but then google became advertisement. I search a keyword and the first thing that fills the page are commercial pages. It rarely gives me what I need anymore. Problem with Bing is that you have to be very specific.

charge the parents for leaving an 8 year old girl alone? Are you people brain challenged? The parents are working. Will you provide for them so that they will stay home all the time? Cut the crap. The girl is dead because she choose to die. She don't understand the meaning of what was she doing but kids do that all the time.
