    "public nuisance ordinance"

WTF....? They don't already have laws against child pornography..?

So the same Anti-Nuisance ordinance they use to arrest people taking pictures on a train is the same law they use for child pornography..?

    More ridiculous crap...

You just can't use common-sense when trying to understand Japanese Laws...

So let me get this straight, if I fail to register my bicycle and get stopped riding my bike, that will carry a penalty greater than this pedophile for having or distributing child porn...

    Sure... it makes complete sense...@#$%*!

I can assure you the Japanese drivers are better than US ones (of course, in average). They usually know how to side- and back park, and they are usually careful while doing it as well.

I will completely agree with you! But they seriously lack Common-Sense and Critical Thinking skills!

They kinds of run over your own daughter accidents are completely preventable, there's no excuse... JN parents seem to think that everything will just work out, because they haven't had any problems before... 3 and 6 years olds are not adults, and they cannot be left alone unattended in a parking lot, so if that means dad physically puts them through the window into the car with him (if he's the only adult present), so he's 100% sure they aren't playing around behind the car, then that's what needs to happen.

Disillusioned Japanese cops have got to get their act together and start acting like cops instead of just bicycle registration checkers.

Isn't that the truth... Obviously they are nothing like their fireman counter-parts in Japan, which are actually pretty damn good at what they do...

But these Jcops are totally worthless, why should they even carry guns...? When they have valid use, they never use them... Instead all you hear about is that some teenager took it away from them, or they lost it, or they're busy firing warning shots in some crowed part of tokyo...

Take their guns away... they have surely proven over and over again, that they don't know how to use them and they're about as responsible as an 8 year old with a new toy.

Every single time I see a Jcop he's either giving directions or hassling some old-lady or salary-man about their bicycle, Like they just stole that bike.... Unbelievable crap!

The police spokesman said that the officer peered through the partially open front door and saw a man dressed in black crouching inside. He ordered the man to come out, but upon receiving no response, he retreated to call for backup. By the time other officers arrived, the suspect had vanished.

    Absolute coward!

First of all he couldn't have known there were not other victims inside.

Any PO's first responsibility is to protect and save lives (Although I doubt that's Japan's policy) So, his first responsibility was to check for other victims inside.

When he saw this guy obviously trying to hide, (don't these guys carry flashlites....?)

He should have ordered him out at gunpoint, while calling for backup on his hand held.

Just FYI, they even teach mil cops at the bases how to tell japanese, "Stop or I'll shoot," in Japanese.

God forbid this country ever experiences any real crime... god help us all...

And it's quite obvious that "likeitis" as well as this JN cop has never had any law enforcement or military training....

For all the JT legal experts you need to understand the Jcops are powerless to do anything. First, they can only pull their sidearm when they have been shot at.

Oh... Ok... Then I guess all those warning shots we read about every other month don't count...? One of the few countries left in the world, that still allows cops to fire warning shots, in populated city areas...

Japan's Finest hard at work again.... At what, we don't really know...

Maybe JT should stop posting these types of things.

Maybe it's time for the JN Government to formally start teaching common sense and the difference between, right and wrong!

Maybe that's what this country needs.

If you are adult and want to take you're own life, FINE DO IT, But for god's sake, don't make your kids helpless victims!

But I expect some here will not be satisfied, but would have much preferred a potentially fatal car chase complete with collateral damage, or expected to have dozens of cops on the stakeout that might have lasted for days and could have been totally fruitless and most likely usually is (but they would not want to pay for it with their tax money.)

LOL.... You're too much dude.... You're killing me....

They had an entire swat team there... What else do they need...? An invitation to do their job, right, the first time...?

This is low-grade, slapstick comedy at best... But terrible police work...

I wonder if they even though enough to write down the license plate of the vehicle that sped off...?

    Some-How I doubt it....

Isn't this like the third version of this story...?

    (1) First the officer fell asleep, while the "Suspect" was tied with a rope... But later that day, or the next the guy turned himself in...

    (2) Ok, now the officer is drugged with a laced tea sedative cocktail, and this guy is on the run...? Not only that, but placed on a Nation-Wide most wanted list for... Suspected Theft...?

    What a country...

It says they both hit her. But I am still baffled as to why Mindovermatter wants to spend 10 minutes alone with Kobayashi, but not the mother.

I don't know about you, but I would never hit a woman, child or an elderly person, unless they a had a gun or weapon pointed at me.... Perhaps you would without hesitation, but that makes you no better than this scumbag who likes to beat up 9 yr olds..

I want to give my kids a bit of a leg up in life

Then they need real parents, and they need to leave the country right away, to study at some REAL university's outside of Japan, where they will actually learn something after they pass the entrance exam.

Don't wait, your children are already being "Dumbed Down" just spending a few mins a day with clowns like you.

At first when you read the headline of this story it sounds like the good 'ol boy network, somebody taking a payoff or throwing a game so somebody can win money, as Yakuza scum types do in almost all other professional sports in Japan.

But after you the read the story, the coach actually sounds justified, he was playing a strategic series, in a system that is hosed to begin with... he merely used the system in his teams favor... Big deal the team threw a game... WTF...?

Sure, they should have held a team-wide vote, and if the team agreed to it... then it should have been A-OK.

Oh.. and we all know life in Japan is 100% fair play all the time when you grow up...
