only to you. Japanese can tell each other apart a lot better than you can. However if you are Japanese you must spend too much time at home blogging. Try to get out a bit more.

Not the Japanese I know...."Shoko Asahara" could walk into a Koban in Tokyo asking for directions to the Hibiya-sen and the nearest place to buy industrial chemicals and the cops wouldn't think twice about helping him out, maybe even escorting him there...

It is not the thing that you call for killing snakes

No, the JN police, handle all types of investigations related to public safety... Hence this is why they don't have an FAA to investigate plane crashes, Because the JN Police handle everything in this country...

    Securities Fraud = JN Police,

    Elevator mishap = JN Police,

    Train derailment = JN Police,

    etc...

And nowhere in this story does it mention that these people were calling the emergency number (119) it simply states too many people are calling the police..

Sorry, No Sympathy for these cops...

Matter of fact if they were properly trained, the second that cop in Akihabara got stabbed, he should have shot that kid with the knife.. His injury wasn't anywhere near life threatening

It would have saved at least 3 people...

3 more people got stabbed and died because that cop either didn't know how or didn't have the right training to do his job...

“I spotted a big snake in the park. Please capture it.”

What's wrong with this one...? Wasn't it about a year ago some 40 something year old guy (living at home with his mom, I know describes about half the adult Oyaji population) got tired of his ball python, and simply took it to the nearest park and let it go...

And the other one left at the train station...?

Oh yea, JN, just keep ignoring those calls...

Or how about that strange call a few years ago in Osaka, where the two college boys got into a scuffle over a parking spot with some local yakuza, one boy ran to the police and all they did was ask the yakuza guys if they knew where the other kid was...? Of course they said no...

But by that time, they had stuck him in the trunk, and later killed him...

Oh big joke there JN police... Worthless bunch losers....

I read a paper which said that Mafia-type-organisations all provided a private policing service

    You don't say....?

Of course they provide "policing" services, it's called "protection" money...

I'm sure they gave out trunk loads of money in Osaka & Kobe and any other disaster struck place that served a purpose for their operations...

I.E... Kobe & Osaka are two of the biggest Yakuza towns in Japan, they make a lot of money at these places... So of course they were going to help people out, whether they wanted it or NOT and a couple years down the road, they will be back to collect on these "favors"...

You can bet on it...! One thing or another, you don't get help from the Yakuza for nothing...

Some Americans might tend to lump regular Japanese businessmen with yakuza

Huh.... Newbe's, nobody makes that mistake, anyone who's been here more than a few years...

foreign journalists are convinced that the yakuza are the same type of criminal organization as the mafia

The only thing they have in common with the Mafia is they are organized and their activities are largely illegal... But aside from that, They are Nothing like the NY Mafia or any other U.S. based Mafia family...

If you piss of a "Real" Mafia, you will be lucky to get off with a ass-kicking, if not a pair of "cement sandals," but the Yakuza are a bunch 2 bit punks, maybe if you really piss them off, they'll stop delivering liquor to your story or stop trash collection, or something to hurt your business.

They rarely resort to violence and are rather timid and apologetic (I might add) when confronted with the prospect of getting their skulls cracked, by some crazy looking, but average size foreigners... Yes they are...

You know Japan would be ok, if... We all know that men & women all over the world cheat... it's no surprise...

But don't go around with your "higher-than-though" attitude... We don't care what you do...Have at it...

But leave your attitude, self-righteousness / victim-hood and racial superior attitude at the door of your house...

This is Japan of the 21st century, there are many foreigner here who don't play by the "I'm a 12 year old mommas boy" rule that you've been brought up to believe...

Follow these simple rules and you'll be safe...

This guy's just a kid....He's a whopping 25 years old and add 4 more years until 2012 and he'll still be only 30...

Notwithstanding sports, Japanese don't really grow up until there pushing 50 years old...

About the time they move out of the house...

Swimming isn't exactly Ice Hockey or Boxing, where the body wears at 50:1, swimming is, matter of fact, the easiest exercise on the body, that's why 60 & 70 year olds can have at it and not worry about injury...

Yeah whatever. Anyway how about The Phelps Diet? the man would be a morbidly obese slob if he wasn't the phenomenal athlete that he is, burning away mad calories.

This was in the news about 2 weeks ago...

Most people can't handle these kinds of calories... It depends on your lifestyle...

If all you do is go to work, smoke cigarettes, drink beer & eat... Then you are one of them that will become morbidly obese, if not already...

“I’m prepared to die. I will shoot all of your family to death.” "I called him because I was angry.”

Just something lost in the literal translation, what he really said was actually closer to:

"Thank you so much for your help my friend! I am so happy to know you, to show my appreciation, I would really like to shoot a photo of you and your loving family. Again, thank you so much!"

And the mayor of hiroshima went on to say that he and the mayor of nagasaki will next week visit Nanking to apologise for the murderous blood thirsty deeds of the emperors' soldiers.

Unfortunately we will never read anything even remotely like this in the news...Why.... Because as far as Japan is concerned, it never happened... and if it did... "The U.S. did it too.....!" This is their favorite come back line....

    Nice post

What a scum bag piece of trash.... I think they should send him to Japan to be tried in a Japanese court in Yokosuka OR better yet Okinawa.....Stir up the Naha media for a couple weeks and then tell that racist Okinawa Governor that the U.S. Military wants to take more land from farmers....

Now I pay money to see that....

JN police might as well focus on tracking down more Yakuza... This guy could be living in a building across the street from a Koban and the police would never be the wiser....

My guess, he'll find some 18 or 20 year kogal in Tokyo to move in with and pay the rent, while he lures other girls into his pad...

Now as long as he doesn't kill anybody else, or piss off his next live-in, to the point where she reports him to the police... he'll be fine...

(or get caught without a bicycle license...ha ha ha)

As somebody else said...Enjoy your new life and freedom...

Fujii was quoted by police as saying, “I didn’t intend to harm her. I thought she would let go once the car started to move."

Women in Japan tend to actually have some amount of common sense, which is quite different from JN guys...

Where you would expect some idiot like this guy, had his hand been inside of a moving car to just keep saying..."But you can't do that..." until he was dragged a kilometer of two.....
