Earthquake-wise, and everything else, I'd say the plant is totally vulnerable, hangin' by a thread.

I saw this on the news last night but the children hadn't died yet. First think…
Why are you guys worried about the price? It's all free nowadays if you know where…

For doing their job...? Nah... They screw way too much stuff up... A monkey could have found this driver... This is like a month after the fact...
Not just some senile jiji who probably should have had his license revoked 10 years ago....
The guy probably turned himself in anyway... They probably failed to mention that fact...?
In this case I fault the mother for the death of this innocent child... And the Yokohama Government for even allowing this Jiji to still have a license...

I think Japan has enough problems of it own just keeping its Jcops from molesting school girls and groping women on trains.
Last thing Japan needs to do is start acting tough with its asian neighbors... given the fact that it basically refuses to accept any responsibility at all over its past war time aggression...

Actually, in some states this mother could be charged with child neglect / willfully endangering the safety of a minor.
You'll never see any parent charged with any crime in Japan, short of physically beating the crap out of a toddler and causing death... But they'll charge a bus driver with professional negligence and arrest him on the spot if he has an accident...
Fricken ridiculous laws, written by kids...

So sad and so tragic...
Why didn't the mother just hold the girls hand....? Crossing a busy intersection....
What does it take...?
I guess Japanese JUST DON'T GET IT...!
Common Sense!!!!!

So typical of Japanese guys....
These are the nice people you meet on the street everyday, wearing a suit and tie, acting all polite...
But watch out.... That's all a show... He's a ticking time-bomb, ready to go rape some schoolgirl, steel underwear or take pictures up some girl's skirt on the escalator... Watch out.... for kenji
Does anybody ever teach these people the difference between Right and Wrong?
Another example of Total Lack of common sense in Japan.
I am just surprised he isn't a Jcop....

What a country...
A country of 12 year olds and generations of them to come, except now, they're not even 12 years old... More like 7 or 8...
Oh... was Macarthur so right....

This is about as normal for Japan as the police announcing in advance they will raid some company offices....
This is the kind of news, that.... it really doesn't bother anyone... You want to force other companies to pull some store sales stunt... Sure go ahead... Knock yourself out....
This isn't like the police botching a murder case, while at the time announcing that they are doubling their efforts to stop and check every single person riding a bicycle... Now that really riles people up... At least people with an ounce of common sense...

Here we go again.... Didn't we just read about a girl in a parking lot not 3 weeks ago...?
If you have kids, you better know where they are at all times... If that means, taking 3 extra minutes to grab your little girl/boy by the hand and bring into the house with mom or grandma, then that's what needs to happen..
These back over your own kid accidents are 100% preventable, and there's no excuse!

This makes absolutely no sense at all.... Not unlike the way Japan does business on a daily basis.... Leave common-sense and reasoning at the door before you leave your house in the morning... It has no place in Japan...
What should happen is that the police do their fricken duty and process this as a crime... The girls obviously aren't going to go to prison, but they will get counseling and meet with Juvenile authorities... Otherwise you probably read about these same two in a few years "dsposing of a body" or some other ridiculous crime...

We all know that after entrance into any Japan university, you are virtually guaranteed to graduate, as long as you pay your tuition...
I thought you had to at least show up at class... Boy was I wrong...
Why don't they just save everyone the hassle and mail the diploma's along with their acceptance letter... Seems like this would cut out the truants altogether and it would be much cheaper...
Don't these teacher's take attendance...? What a joke... Japanese university's the ultimate place to learn nothing... And earn a degree doing nothing...

That's it... Don't buy any of the U.S. stuff to help off-set their huge trade deficit (which is part of the reason "The World" is in this mess), God forbid you were actually an Equal trading partner...
Just continue to horde your money away and wait it out and only buy domestic products and services, until the U.S. finally collapses OR something magical happens...
Remember Fair Trade doesn't apply to you, it's only the U.S. that has to play buy those rules..

Ok... Where those clown bicycle Jcops when you need them...
This is a REAL crime, Not some BS guy taking a picture on a train.
Unless this guy turns himself, I'll bet this goes unsolved.

He's lucky he got anything at all... I'd say a first class upgrade is pretty damn good for being a attentive passenger... I'm surprised he got anything at all... I'm not sure if that fuel leak would have qualified as an immediate emergency landing... Matter of fact that's one of the facts they conveniently leave out of this story... Did they need to declare an Emergency...? Obviously no aircraft commander is going to proceed across the pacific knowing they have fuel spewing out of their wing...

This story seriously lacks details... What kind of aircraft...? Not to belittle this guys work, but aircraft have fuel leaks all the time... And I don't think he did anything any normal human being with an ounce of common sense wouldn't do... "Hey there's something spraying out of the wing... Maybe we should tell the pilot...?"
Now if he was waiting for his flight in the terminal and noticed another aircraft on the tarmac getting ready to take off and it was spewing fuel like a sieve, and the aircrew were oblivious to it and he runs up to the tower and alerts someone... now that's something special...

What a nut case.... These are the kinds of people running around tokyo... You probably sat next to two or three of them on the train this morning....
Maybe they have an opening for him at the Tokyo Police department, or as a Prosecutor...? I think he should seriously check into one of those civil service positions requiring trust and sound moral judgment.

You just have to leave your common sense at the door, when trying to understand Japanese Laws OR their motives for doing something OR Failing to do something (If you're talking about JN cops...)
Surprised they didn't throw in, "Abandoning a Body," that's always a good one to use in these kinds of "Uncertain" death circumstances...
I think Illegally riding a bicycle carries a much stiffer penalty than murder one under JN Law...

Probably not even the same guy... Just some bum hanging around... The bumbling bicycle police just picked up who-ever was stupid enough to be hanging around there... For all they know, they're now interrogating the Janitor...
But don't worry, Japanese Finest are on it! They'll get him to break, even if they have to put a few cops to sleep with laced-tea...
LOL...

What is up with this trying to look western...?
They couldn't have picked a girl with bigger, rounder eyes, and more western looks, if they had chosen an american. Even the name, "Emiri?"
I'm sure she's an attractive gal, with loads of talent, but she doesn't even look Japanese anymore...
