Cletus,my mistake, for not including the workers role in their own demise. It seems its just a human weakness , greed. As for the unions, well they have just forgotten what role they are expected to play in this circus.

The race for making money at all costs. What about reversing this role, to take into to account the moral and ethical responsibilities of these major corporations, because in the long haul, a happy and secure workforce benefits these corporations. How much profit do they need ????

Triunvere, thank you, is that his real name,"WILLARD" love that name , has a certain ring to it. Where does the Mitt fit in. Here is a man ashamed of his own name and he wants to be president. You have to give it to President Barack Hussein Obama II, he liked his name and he became a president. Never change who you are.

This is total misuse of the media. Of how many polled and what age group ?? Misleading headline again "Majority of Japanese against tax hike plan: polls", any poll does not represent a majority. The sooner the media stop using this wording and stop trying to influence the general public the sooner the better.Japan like most major industrialised countries has a debt problem, caused over the years by inept politicians who couldn't even manage the weekly shopping bill. Well now the general population of the countries are being asked to contribute. Seeing that the same populations that voted in, those inept politicians, and enjoyed the good times. As the saying goes "nothing is for free" Well maybe now the voting population will have learned a lesson about how politicians manage their money. As I have said many times here on JT ,For those politicians, bankers, big business owners, its a private club for the privileged and we the voters aren't members. Its about time all politicians are held accountable for every penny, yen, dollar ,whatever currency you use.All public spending should be scrutinised and not wasted. I've said enough for today, got to think of the blood pressure.

I wonder if those same Japanese banks were part of "trading by banks in financial instruments on their own account, deals which are widely held to have contributed to the global financial crisis." or did they not participate ???

“I explained that even if the Japanese government proceeded with these negotiations, the Diet would not ratify it,” Masahiko Yamada, who served as agriculture minister last year, told a news conference." Ah hah, the almighty powerful JA rears its head again.

I have shown in previous comments, that I don't like politicians, the media, banks, lawyers or accountants mostly out of a personal experience. But this article shows american politics at its worst. This " jobs lost at firms bought by Romney’s Bain Capital—" is an example. The man doesn't have any ethical morals,he doesn't care that people lose their jobs because of his march to make more money, I thought the idea was to create jobs.He shouldn't even be running as a candidate, egos are a sickness. The Republicans have spent the last four years doing what ? If politicians were held accountable for every (whatever the currency) spent, and every decision made, these people wouldn't even enter politics and politics might get some decent, intelligent applicants applying.

I don't think anyone , would believe he didn't know about the money. Isn't that what politicians do best, extort money from the tax payers (government wasteful spending),or through big businesses so called donations to secure government contracts, like maybe a dam project. I would think Ozawa could count loose change in his pocket without even taking his hand out of his pocket. But we have seen how the big private club works here in Japan. http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1151722,00.html is one example, recently the Olympus saga. Politics and Big Business are one of the same, one protects the other. Three months of a trial, who in a lot of peoples minds think is just a showcase with the outcome already decided. This man thinks he is above the law.

Another conflict in the name of religion. If they don't want to live together as Nigerians, split the country in half and give new names to both halves. Which is the most important, the pride of being a Nigerian or any nationality or a your religious belief. Its time to stop using religion as the cause of conflicts. Time to split Faith from religion.Your faith is yours, your belief, I don't want some religious hierarchy to tell me I must belong to their religion to find true fulfilment . I pray with my belief, and in what I believe, and because I want to,not because I have to.

"“I want a military that’s superior to anyone else in the world by a wide margin,” he said here. “A military that’s extraordinarily strong, superior to others, keeps others from doing dangerous things that would threaten us.” Scary words, but seriously, who would want to invade America.??? He just sounds like the major shareholder of the war machine suppliers. I often wondered why American politicians describe their funds raised as "The War Chest"now we know.

In perspective, its like someone building a house blocking your view, you didn't want it ,but the planners gave permission, The Japanese government and the US want to build this base on a pristine beach in Okinawa , but the people of Okinawa don't want it. Big brother rules !!!

"Ozawa making his first visit to the devastated region"(almost a year has gone by)"He received a big welcome when he visited elderly evacuees living in temporary housing."(while he lives in his nice warm house )I cannot find words suitable to describe this man. It has taken the man a year to visit the region, was he to busy before, why now? conscience,no can't be that,he doesn't have one, he doesn't really care about the japanese people. Maybe a PR exercise???The man is a supposed to be a criminal awaiting trial, and all he does is criticise.
