The press' job is to dig up as much dirt as they can about our candidates. If one candidate is dirtier than the other, does that mean the press is biased?
You know what's really scary? A government who distrusts/hates the media.

Obama: This is my plan.
Republicans: Obama has no concrete plan, we cannot afford this guy.
Obama: Here is my plan. This is what I will do.
Republicans: He just says what you want to hear.
i hope people are not stupid enough to believe the latter

You know what, I can somewhat sympathize with this guy. Have you ever experienced a Japanese cremation? It's one of the saddest, cruelest things I ever saw.
First, they cremate all the flesh of your loved one, leaving a pile of bones. Then you use giant chopsticks to select the bones that you want to keep forever in a jar.
I hope I never have to see the skull of a loved one.

I understand that you have a political bias. So do I in the opposite direction. However, I would like to point out how ridiculous your comment is by quoting the quotes from sezwho2:
I understand your passion, but your posts need a bit more logic. Thank you.

I don't get the hate for Obama.
He has done nothing wrong and is fighting for the people. The only people who have something to lose are those in big business who would finally have to pay more taxes and lose Washington control. Obama's policies would benefit not only 95% of Americans, but also the world. Still, these seems to be so much hatred for Obama based on what? He's not on your team?

there's not enough info in the article to rule out that the grandson might also be a victim. possibly kidnapped to make it look like he did it to get the police off the true culprits. shouldn't rule out any possibilities.

This might seem like a bit of a stretch, but as a high school teacher, I fully believe this to be a true factor in the cause.
Uniforms and the Japanese education system.
Adolescence is the age of rebellion. It's also the age of being forced to wear uniforms in order to take part in society in Japan.
I've taught at some of the toughest schools around. Kids smoking freely in the hallways, heck, I've even seen things I couldn't describe on JT without getting the post removed.
But one thing I noticed, when a kid comes to class without their skirt or jacket, the teacher will not start the class until the students put on their uniforms.
This is where even the toughest kids learn "Shikatta ga nai" and give up.
So you have a country ruled by a single party for over half a century. That means one of two things:
a. people love the ruling party b. people don't believe there is way to change things
Well, if you get out and talk to people, you'll know that the ruling party is generally despised.
So there you have it, political apathy. Or as I like to call it, Political Impotence.

While it would do wonders for the breaking that 10km thick glass ceiling, I would be sad if robbed from the opportunity to make Mr. Aso jokes.
Either way, there's a good chance that the next PM's reign will be cut short with the LPD finally losing the election, if and only if the people step up.
I have asked everyone I know if they support the LPD and they all said "no!" in disgust.
Just wish more people would vote and make a change.

The Conservative,
"Morallay" is your opinion based from your views. From my point of view, Obama holds the hightest degree of morality that I have ever witnessed from a candidate for the Presidency.
Guns only get more people maimed and killed. Respect for the environment. Respect for an individual's religious views. Respect for the other party. (There's a damning audio clip floating around of Palin laughing during a radio interview where they call her opponent "a cancer.") Fighting for the underclass. War. Diplomacy over violence.
