Palin is a fanatic of abstinence only education. She wants it to be the law of the land. That's why she's a hypocrite.

I'm pretty sure I've seen male Pursers (some airlines call them infight directors or whatnot) for JAL. They usually have a uniform that looks more like similar to a flight deck officer. But they essentially manage the FAs, go over special requests and VIP treatment before flights. I doubt you'd see them unless you fly up in First Class.
JAL and ANA are both unionized, however, I would guess like most J-Jobs for women, the career ends at marriage. I have seen some older women on JAL, almost always in the business and first cabins, and pretty rare at that.

I doubt it. But you can certainly play to the tastes of the inspectors. I initially found it interesting that Michelin Star Pro Gorden Ramsey didn't get anything for his restaurant at the Tokyo Conrad. Then I ate there and it made sense. Blah.

Do you actually have some facts to back that up? Labor costs for any airline are typically very low per seat mile. You can look this up in the financial report for most major airlines. A major wage cut for front line staff would trim a cent or two off the cost per seat mile. That's not going to bring wider seats.
Really? How do you figure? In the US almost every airline labor group has made serious wage concessions, some up to a 30% pay cut. Yet airfare are on the rise and seat pitch is on the decline.

Yes, it's a western conspiracy against China. rolls eyes China has a history of doing this. China's own Yang Yun, a double bronze medalist in Sydney, said during an interview aired on state broadcaster China Central Television that she was 14 during the 2000 Games. If China losses medals it has no one to blame but themselves.

It does. Some of the Chinese airlines actually do that and apply surcharges. In particular the ones that have recently joined global alliances that are now getting westerners on award tickets.

That's not the problem with Chinese Starwood properties. They are high end hotels and most guests know better. The issue is they don't honor the agreements of Starwoods Preferred Guest program many times. There are various upgrades and freebies one is supposed to get when you reach a certain level. It's spotty if you'll actually get it.

The iPhone is cool. But without eWallet features I think it's doomed in Japan. They need to ramp up a special J-Model by 2Q 2009.

Last I checked the games are in China not Japan. I'm not aware of any cultural issues with the host country and jubilant display by Phelps. I think people are going to be hard pressed to actually cite a reason why he was out of order by any countries standards.

You think that's bad, at least the US airlines are polite about the whole thing. If you're a fat westerner in coach flying on a Chinese airline there's a pretty good chance they'll ask you to step on the luggage scale so they can determine a surcharge.

She does have a picture perfect smile. Wonder if she had braces early in life. Definitely doesn't have classic overcrowding common in the Mongoloid ethic group.
