The permit thing is the biggest red herring of them all. What's the purpose of a film permit in a wilderness area? To ensure that the film makers don't disturb the wild life. Exactly what are they disturbing in the middle of a slaughter? The fishermen? Cry me a river.

The film is what it is. You either support the slaughter and the manor it was conducted or you don't. The posturing of the of the J-Cops is amateur hour material but doesn't serve any purpose.

SLC actually paid DL several million to keep the route. SLC has a lot of connections to the smaller towns in the west that might be hard to get to from traditional TPAC destinations like LAX. So they view it as good business.
The Mormons also like have direct flights to Asia. With a direct flight to NRT most destinations that are 1-stop away.
I think the route runs on A330 metal, so it's really NWA that's operating the flight. NWA is the third biggest carrier in NRT behind JAL and ANA.

As someone who lives in sub-zero northern climate, I'm going to have to call BS on that line of logic. Most of the coats sold here are synthetics. 3M thinsulate being the most popular. The coats are lighter and have greater range of movement than fur.
Eastern Europeans and Russians love the fur. One, because they lack the technical means to make a product with advanced insulators themselves, and low quality fur is cheap for them to produce.
It doesn't change the fact that the processing of the animals is done by ramming an large electrode up the animals arse and frying insides. It's not a pretty way to die.
They do have a natural habitat ya know. The only reason they are rare to find in the wild is the industry itself. If the US can restock the wolf, I any country can restock little furry animals.

In the west a run in with the cops doesn't make the papers unless someone gets beat, tazed of shot. Just say'n.

Seems the issue is the guarantor doesn't actually want to live up to it's obligation to guarantee the deal. So the obvious solution is to sneak in and evict the tenant illegally in order to minimize the losses. It's rough economic times and the guarantor should have had reserves set aside to handle the losses. Obviously that's not the case.

I didn't think the US version of this burger was all that hot. I can't imagine what the J-Burger must be like.

If there are 20 bad reviews and one good review, I'm taking the good review with a grain of salt. I think TA also normalizes the rating to help keep the ranks in a more realistic order.

I've worked with Fujitsu IT people in the past. The company does very well despite the efforts of their employees and managers.

Well, not that Airbus sold out and let the Chinese make a version of the A320 they should be able to get a modern plane. Too bad it will be at the cost of thousands of EU jobs.

Even with the parts, the US made planes they have are so old that the airframes have all exceeded the compression counts. They wouldn't be allowed to fly in US according to FAA rules, parts or not.

The Queen of England still owns a ton of land, holds a great amount of money and nobody tells her what to do. The royal family in Japan lives at the whim of The Imperial Household Agency. If anything, the lack of populism with the Japanese Royals can be blamed directly on the policies of the The Imperial Household Agency.

Seems to me that the answered is formed on if the family intends to head back to the west. We complain a lot on JT about how messed up white collars workers are in Japan because of the education system. That may not be a good thing to bring back to the west.

Cyclonic is a fad. Independent testing showed Dyson was no better or worst than the cheapie vacuums. Dyson had stopped making the claim that Cyclonic's didn't clog and now market on how maneuverable they are.

My favorite French Tourist story. I was in Amsterdam transiting back to the states. I'm in line at the gate for the exist interview when the customs agent comes up to me:
"You, you're American right?" "Yeah." "It's your lucky day, come to the front of the line." "Alright." "We've got a huge french tour group, they refuse to speak anything but french. We only have one agent that speaks french. They should know better. When you travel you speak English."
So, here I am, in a Amsterdam, with an customs agent that isn't a native English speaker (though speaks it very well) telling how all travelers should speak English. Outstanding.
