Interesting. You can almost tell from the comments who's been here for more than five years…

An act of children. The rightists of Japan, another group of children, are green with envy…

If that is an accurate translation the sexiest woman in Japan just lost some hot points with me.

She's hot, but I hate people who want reviews only if they're positive ones.

@genjuro - No long waits anymore. About the same wait as going to McDonalds when I go to my regular stores in Shinjuku and Tachikawa.
Sorry Maria and manfromamerica, I still love them. The only Mister Donut near me SUCKS!

@DuraAce - Do you own a pair of any of the Shure headphones??? I have the Shure SE 530 and I can assure you the sound is amazingly better compared to standard headphones. It would be even better still if I went with Sony, but there's no need to. I'm sticking with Apple.
And why the need to be critical? I only said the sound is better on an iPod with a quality set of headphones.

@nisegaijin - The only things I disagree with about your post is that the initial iPod wasn't a bandwagon device. It's true there were several other devices out, but none had the capacity of the initial iPod and that was the key along with Apple's name at that time.
Also, Sony screwed up BIG TIME by sticking with the support of mini disc long after the iPods were already taking over. I think I had my first iPod for over a year and Sony still had commercials on TV for MD players.
I took a look at the new Sony's not too long ago and the sound is great and the video beautiful, but it's just too late. Any sound quality loss I got back with my top model of Shure headphones.

Most public schools in Tokyo look like this. A friend, who was a city official, told me that they only spend money on things that can bring money in, so public facilities always look like jails of some kind.

I always laugh when people tell me how superior Japan's education system is. Going back to "alladin's" comment in the first post, the content is what is most valuable.
If Japan's system is so superior why is it that they have to do more in order just to keep up? "proxy" also one of the first posts talked about the fewer hours of study in Canada, but how kids there still do better than J-kids.
Teachers don't really do anything, but stand in front of a room, expect students to be quiet and expect them to memorize everything.

I think this is just a story to say that Japan is going to try to promote it as a candidate for best foreign language film. In other words it's just their wish. So they'll start sending out DVDs to Academy members and give other kickbacks.

@mrskit - Yeah, that's the first thing I thought too, but maybe the writer is just one of those people who believe we're not responsible for our actions. It's totally phrased as though being a criminal is an accident.

This ridiculous promotion makes me want to pay more just to punish them for the stupid terms that "namabiru4me" quoted. Airlines are the WORST business in the world.

@Junnama - In Japan she could because men like women who look like little girls, but I have to say, in this picture she is starting to look more mature and beautiful, but I don't find her sexy. Maybe in a few years. Sexy is Norika Fujiwara or Aya Sugimoto.

@Tokyogas - Have you noticed that Japan is late to the game (and/or hasn't even tried signing up) as usual in these last 20 years and they offer essentially nothing??? There are a great number of people in other parts of Asia that would pay for J-entertainment (that's what I'm told they call it), but iTunes Japan still has ZERO available from the J-networks.
I haven't checked YouTube recently for the charge for fee content, but are they allowing downloads in Japan??? Last time I checked they weren't.

Amazon.com is going to be like Netflix, Hulu and the networks and not allow those with a U.S. credit card address living/working overseas to access these services. Luckily (right now) iTunes continues to allow us to make purchases. Seems unfair that a business person working temporarily overseas would not be able to download these types of shows.

@Branded - That's a great and often forgotten point about everything in Japan. While most countries in every facet of life have balance in sports and work, Japan has to practice and do things (sports, school, work) ALL YEAR long without a break just to keep up with the rest of the world. Unfortunately the U.S. government and corporations have taken over to the point where they are taking away that balance. Kids in many parts of the U.S. are now going back to school in mid August where they wont able to enjoy baseball anymore.
Moderator: Back on topic please. Posts that do not refer to the Little League World Series final will be removed.

Congrats to Japan! I've always said that if I had kids in Japan I'd prefer they learn the fundamentals of sports here in Japan.
"Stormqueen" until the U.S. sends its BEST MLB players to the World Baseball Classic that tournament means absolutely nothing. Only Japan and Cuba care about that joke of an event. Training after Jr. high school for any sport in Japan is a joke.
