Just replace American Airlines as a carrier of your choice with Singapore Airlines or Asiana Airlines. Both offer superior service.

In all the episodes of Get Smart I've watched, Maxwell Smart only had a shoe-phone as far as I know. A Shoe-camera might have been useful in the fight against Kaos!

That's makes the J-Cops sound even more pathetic since most of the Shinkansen sets (at least the 500's/700's/N700's) I've been on the Tokaido/Sanyo line already have cameras in the saloon's and at the car doorways!

The reasons for avoiding this crappy airline just keep increasing day-by-day don't they? Low rent celebs, crappy food you have to pay for and woeful customer service. Just doesn't get any better!

I agree. Though you should she told him where to step off, especially since she boasts in the article about her fluent Japanese ability. I managed to tell some Ojayi who was pushing and shoving me one day to cut in line where to step off in my much weaker Japanese ability.

Would this kind of thing be tolerated under the Showa/Taisho or Meiji periods? I think not, the daughter would have been told to toughen up while the perpetrator and the family would have been banished to one of the colonies.
Posted in: Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako told the media in a statement that they feel distress for causing public concern about their 8-year-old daughter Princess Aiko, who stayed away from school after reportedly encountering rough behavior by boys in her grade. What do you think about all this?

Best - Asiana Airlines. Great service, decent food and friendly/attractive stewardesses.
Worst - Any American carrier, and Jetstar.

Wouldn't Kim Il Sung be aghast to note that the poodle (South Korea, in their words) did the same thing to a Mercedez W124 via the Ssangyong Chairman?

Japan Today, you need to do more research. JR West is the owner of all 500 Series Shinkansen sets. JR East has nothing to do with the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen lines. The reason they'll no longer be operating is the Tokaido Shink is owned by JR Tokai, and the 500's are considered non-standard for their operations.
There is also no such "train type" as either Nozomi/Hikari/Kodama. They refer to the stopping patterns of the services offered on this route.

Its pathetic. I thought Channel 7 Australia's coverage of Torino 2006 was as bad as it gets. Coverage of Vancouver 2010 here is even worse. If I see that skater kid being interviewed one more time I think I'll scream.

I'm also a railfan (ferroequinoligist is the technical term) and I've seen clowns like this all over the world. Thankfully railfanning is in the national psyche in Japan; if this was the UK/US/Australia the authorities would impose some knee-jerk regulations that make it hell for the rest of us who do the right thing.
Oh and for those who want to call us 'dorks/nerds/dweebies' or whatever, go back and watch some sport.

She's providing the same level of service as the traffic guards at the company's headquaters - i.e. unnecessary service, and a reason why that company is now bankrupt.
