There's already next to no competition on this route since ANA pulled out years ago and JAL joined One-World; this just makes the route even more anti-competitive.

Its location is a major pain. Essentially 4-5 hours are wasted before your aircraft starts moving, and thats assuming it has no delay. It's a fine airport otherwise, though Terminal 2's Arrivals hall feels a little tired.
The Shinkansen viaducts are still in place, as are the two stations. The JR narrow gauge line from Narita uses the viaducts, and I'm sure you know the two stations that were planned as Shinkansen stations are now shared between Keisei Railway and East JR's narrow gauge line to Narita.

Yeah I think its fair not to knock these guys. In Western countries you have the scumbags who get excitied about seeing their latest scribble everywhere there are trains. Thats one thing Japan has got right, next to no graffiti on its trains. The worst thing you have to deal with is the smell of Oyaji's on the last train of the night. Beats sitting on a freshly tagged seat in your best suit.

Just leagalise it, regulate it to get rid of the organised crime it generates. Like prostitution, no amount of government spending on policing and the justice system will make it go away. Better to have it, and keep it controlled. Besides imagine the stock prices of JT and PM if they added hooch to the range of products they are regulated to sell.

Be very wary about using this cheap(skate) airline. I've heard reports that if you don't turn up on time, even if its out of your control, you forfeit your fare and be asked to pay another. They even have the hide of asking you to pay for their crummy airline food. My friend came up from Aus in December with a sore neck and when he asked for a second pillow they almost made him pay for that too until he argued with one of their flight attendants. Pay the extra and use a more service oriented airline such as KAL, Asiana, Cathay or even JAL.
