I think it's absolutely fair to draw this line, especially when it comes to such a horrible outfit as North Korea. Imagine the propaganda and boasting that they'd be going one with if they'd won by that margin. And if their competitors were US/JPN or SK? If you think politics and sport shouldn't mix, then don't watch the Olympics either.

Well done Portugal. Glad you pummeled that disgusting nation. Though the team members will probably be executed on their return to Pyongyang for disgracing the regime in public.

What is it about Osaka cops and not being able to keep out of trouble? Is it the humidity down there or something?

As a railfan, I generally avoid the large events such as a Last-Run or Workshop Open days because of the over the top nature of some fellow enthusiasts. They aren't good times to get great photo's anyway. But it seems the railways and authorities are paying more attention - last weekends running of a Steam Hauled special on the Aterazawa Line from Yamagata saw a couple of cops at Yamagata station near the Steam Locomotive while in the platform just in case any of the foamers went crazy.

Me too, but worse still I've seen some kids bouncing up and down on their mum's lap unrestrained on the front seat. It still fascinates me that you need a license to have a dog or catch a fish, but not to breed.

This isn't really news as I see this kind of poor behaviour every day - i.e. people not paying attention to others around them while walking.

Let me guess, these nationalistic scumbags trotted out the "Canadians club seals" and "Ozzie's (sic) eat kanagroo" lines again as an excuse to legitimise their brutal slaughter of dolphins, and in term ban the showing of this film? They're so predictable it makes me sick.

Travel shows generally are rubbish - people telling you what you should do/like and go to - make up your own mind where and how to travel. The only exceptions are the excellent series Michael Palin comes out with.

That's the hook that McD's uses to lure in the next generation of fatties, and that's exactly the reason why I refuse to eat their "food". Its called brand impressionism for later life, just like the tobacco companies used to do with chocolate cigerattes to get those kids in when they were older.

Hope the cabin crew get used to not getting paid fast, just keep it up and they won't have a job to go to. BA is pretty much a heartbeat away from collapse and this won't help keep them afloat at all.

United, like all American carriers is low service airline at high cost. The only thing that their flight attendants have in abundance to offer passengers is good ol' American 'attitood'.

Not if there's no jobs to support those kids it's not. Why not give tax incentives for companies to relocate functions that don't need to be in big cities there to entice the people who'd like to live there.

There is only one worth eating, Kamameshi from Nagano. All the others are fairly bland for me.
Good luck in your arguments with Japanese about this. I've had many, and failed to convince them to think out side the 'Japan rice is the only rice' square.

I don't know why he apologised. That woman was a xenophobic bigot. I'm more disappointed Brown was too gutless to use it as an excuse as to why racism has no place in any society.
