So, China doesn't export to Japan, and will reduce to the rest of the world, which will drive up prices.
Japan will recycle it's limited supply, which will drive up prices.
Japan will no longer be able to manufacture hi-tech due to pricing, thus export those jobs.
Japan is also moving overseas for automotive and many other types of manufacturing.
Manufacturing in Japan is certainly being strangled to a slow death. In addition, because of poor language skills, Japan will not even be able to represent its vast technical and manufacturing knowledge, selling it as a service.
When that happens, Japanese can hope the yen is still strong so importation of all the goods they cannot manufacture.
