While there are ripe apples that fall off the University tree in Japan, many of them enter a company that has no idea what to do with them. The management often ignores them and makes them "train" for 3 months to a year before they find their desk. Often they are expected to do meaningless busy work.
A former co-worker worked in Sales (before being transfered to work with me), on the 1st day the guy he was supposed to be working with said that their blood type was not a match, therefore they wouldn't get along. His work consisted of answering the phone...
In the end, the many managers do not know how to cultivate the new talent. The new kids don't know how to be proactive and aggressive.

They have beer in little cans...why not do these new products in those so people can have a taste? I don't want to waste 150 yen and dump out 490ml.

Paice has already been successful in patent disputes with Toyota in the past. It seems that the patent is valid and file for in the mid-90s.
The jurisdiction here is for imports into the US. However, Paice may have international patent filings as well. If so, other markets would likely follow the ITC's decision and ban imports too.

my daughter could do her multiplication tables in 2nd grade by using the Japanese "ku ku" multiplication chant. Sure, it is memorization first, but then once it is put into PRACTICAL use, it becomes a skill. Initially most anything you learn is MEMORIZATION until you master it for practical application.

@ timorborder There has been and always will be senseless deaths of children even if the parents protect the home. What is a parent to do, protect their children from every possibility in their young life? Impossible!
True negligence should be dealt with appropriately, however in life there are tragic accidents. This seems to be one.
Many times in apartments there are no safety screens. The windows are set into concrete. In addition, there may be lease clauses against modifying anything in your "mansion."
For those of you who have or have had 4-year olds...they are very creative, determined and can adapt to most countermeasures an adult creates.
This was a terrible accident.

Who knows why it took 10 minutes. My guess is when she or he got on the train the grope was not obvious. By the time the doors closed on the next station, she knew...and had to wait until the next to grab him, or he would have probably run.
Now she needs to write a book!
