" has previously been shown on Canadian and Swiss TV and at numerous film festivals, where it provoked little controversy."
OK, fine. So what's so different about showing it in Britain? The hypocrisy there? The pretense at not wanting to see, but actually wanting to see? Inability to deal with the heavy Victorian legacy in this its last bastion? The vicarious thrill of being the fly on the wall, and then the resultant disgust, and the inability to think maturely about something we all need to consider seriously? Are we happy to be playing all day, death hidden behind the hospital walls? Leave the decisions to the doctor...
Yes, all the above posters' criticisms can be thrown validly at this airing, but maybe it can also function as a wake-up call. Patients need to be able to consider all available options in consultation with a doctor without the law pontificating. Maybe Britain needs to wake up and think clearly.

The guy got the publicity and he sold his 15 cars. Let others deal with the fallout.
Pre-modern Oriental thinking at its best.

The guy told the police that he has the devil inside him who sometimes takes control of him. Thus it was not he himself who did the killing.

Militants, terrorists or fighters?
Poor old Pakistan. They just wanted to have an Islamic state, but no-one could be satisfied, and look how it is now. A rabbit warren of factions, tribes, home-grown and foreign, all with different agendas. Everyone telling them what to do, or even worse, threatening them and their families. Pakistan needs four armies, one to guard the NW frontier, one to guard the borber with Afghanistan, one to be ready for an Indian attack, and one to guard against the internal terrorist/fighter/militant lot. I bet people are wishing they hadn't pushed Musharraf out so hastily.

I feel really sorry for the guard who was shot, and for his poor family. If there is a Hell, I am sure the people who attacked the terminal will go there.

The problem with interrogating mass murderers, and then following up the trail, is that they all tend to be smooth-talking liars.
Listen to the head of Jamaat again: “The Indian leadership is using Pakistan as a punching bag to cover its failures at home,” Saeed told Outlook magazine in an interview released Friday. “Instead of blaming Pakistan, India should have acted as a responsible country, shown patience and focused on investigating the attacks to find out the real culprits.”
Classic smokescreen blagger's language. He feels so sure he will not be caught that he can grant interviews, continue to set his own country against India, and suggest there is a separate 'real' culprit out there somewhere. IMHO. No proof, but it just doesn't smell right...

Have to agree 100% with likeitis. We have no way of being able to judge the circumstances of this case, either the mood in the class, or the conversation at home later on. I will pass on judgement.
Perhaps the teacher made a bad move in a touchy area and once out in the open everyone will have wanted their say on the matter. Messy.

Taka, Everton you need to read the article properly before slamming the teacher.
PS My guess is the teacher wanted to shock a couple of the badly behaved kids. Check out the sex of the teacher.

The worst thing I can say about F1 is that it puts me into a pleasant sleep.
Fuji TV makes a cynical hash of it here in Japan in order to squeeze every last penny out of the exhausted late-night audience. This is absolutely unforgivable. Otherwise I enjoy it. The sounds of the engines are great. (Better in real life, plus you get the smells of hot racing oil!) The effect of a few hours on the environment is negligible, and my personal feeling is that it encourages people to be better and more conscious drivers.
Honda pulling out of F1 for financial reasons may be the tip of the iceberg. They are still active in superbikes, etc., though.

Yes, Tatanka, it is the second time for them. Last time they dropped out of F1 in 1992/3, they said they wanted to concentrate on developing environmentally friendly engines.
I wonder what they can say this time, in order to stay ahead of the game?

30061015 Well, they are not Muslims either, according to the reports coming out of India, because Islam forbids suicide. So they will all end up in Hell, from the point of view of Islam.
What should we call them? 'Kamikaze' doesn't quite fit. 'Self-destructers'? 'Head-poppers'? 'Human bombs'?
