The report does not mention that their computers were compromised by a virus, which fact they only discovered as they were struggling to find ways of opening and shutting vital emergency valves after the tsunami struck.
In-house hackers traced the virus back to a certain Northern hemisphere country. (Name mentioned in the article quoted below.)
Article in 12 December Japanese language 'Post' magazine from an interview with an elderly expert who was called in to try and unlock the security systems surrounding the No 1 reactor's main emergency control computers. He had been a member of the original design team.
He later filed a report asking for immediate checks of all nuclear power station computers in Japan, but has had no reply.

Maybe she has a mental image of 'happiness with a man', which removes itself like a mirage as she tries to grab it?
Or could she be just plain selfish?

There should be a green light on the dashboard, operated by wireless from the control tower to indicate that the OK has been given.
On another note, as an experiment I flew China Eastern to Shanghai- London, London-Shanghai and back again to Japan this summer. Subtle cultural differences led to some interesting observations. Generally pretty safe though.

Hmmm.. I would hope and pray that someone who makes a living out of snakes would have love and respect for them.
This man should have known that when released in such a space they would be kicked, trodden on and possibly killed by panicked officials and police.
The possibility does not seem to have bothered him. Cruel cold-hearted bastard.
For this reason I hope he gets whatever they throw at him.

Congratulations to Christian Horner, the Red Bull team and and their two drivers.
As to whether Vettel is what they are saying or not, it is hard to judge. The car is so much more refined and consistent than the opposition. What we can say is that he is faster than Mark.... well, so far anyway.
As Kimi Raikonnen was fond of saying, the problem with F1 is that it is often the car that gives the driver a chance at the top spot.
You could put Hamilton, Button, Alonso, Schumacher, Kimi, and several other drivers into that Red Bull car in place of Vettel, and any one of them could well have been champion this season.
Vettel is good, yes, and his car is superb. Just watching that front wheel going round you can see how stable and smooth it is, almost as if it represents every aspect of the whole RB car. But is he a genius? Is he any better than the other top ten or twelve drivers? No way of knowing.

I would want to give my kids baseball bats to carry home with them.
All young children should be told by their parents to maintain awareness around them. The bloke is following two kids who are happily laughing and talking, oblivious to those around them.
He waits till they part and then goes for one, on a section of street that has no cameras and few people.

These 'improvements' to Japan's nuclear power stations should have been built in right at the start. Japan is not just earthquake prone. It seems to be constantly moving, and pretty much at random. Maybe this is why the earthquake page is part of the weather forecast.
See Yahoo: http://typhoon.yahoo.co.jp/weather/jp/earthquake/
Everything seems to happen piecemeal here. Great if the government were strong enough to make a blanket policy, but will that ever happen?
These islands have plenty of wind, wave and thermal power available. I've heard the excuses why so far little has been done.
Potentially Japan could contribute to the world by creating new energy sources and systems.

No reason why Mark should not do better next year. Good luck to him!
And today we hear that Kimi Raikkonen has signed for two years with Lotus Renault. More ex-world champs mixing it up.
Looking forward to next season.

While the supplies are all backed up, expect some attack on them within Pakistan. More dead drivers and security guards, more insurance payments for burned-out trucks, and more heavy smoke pollution going up into the planet's skies. Still, I don't expect anyone will have thought of this, so no point setting an ambush.

Friend worked as a volunteer nurse at an AIDS clinic in Hawaii some years ago.
She said it was constantly busy with Japanese who had flown over specially and who would never dare visit a clinic back home.

Kamui not only drove well, but he secured two points for his team, ensuring they beat rivals Toro Rosso by a clear margin. Well done!
MacLaren's tyre/tire strategy helped get Jensen past Alonso into thrid place. Good season for Button.

The translation is not very accurate. The front door was open. He was with his child having lunch when this boar came into the house and tried to get up into the living room. The guy jumped up and tried to knee the thing outside, but he got slightly scraped on the legs in the incident.
