If Yonaguni is really claimed by Japan as her own territory, She has the right to put troops, or even civilian population there.
Sooner or later, China will occupy uninhabited islands in the east China sea just like what she did in South China Sea.
China believes that both the South China Sea and the East China Sea, having the word "China" in it, are lakes or bodies of water inside China so everything within like oil, islands should be owned by China.

It will take 4 to 5 years more before they can be put into war head. Once NK have the ability to put it into warhead, Japan and South Korea will not sit idle. Being among the biggest producers of electricity from nuclear power plant, with far more technologically capable, JApan and South Korea can build 30 nuclear bomb within 6 months.

North Korea should never dare the US about their 5-12 crude nuclear bombs. The US is the only country in the world who actually used nuclear bombs, and was willing to use again when it is deemed necessary. MacArthur wanted to use it in 1951 Korean-war when 1 million Chinese helped NK. US again almost narrowly considering the request of France to use 5 nuclear bombs in the defense of BIEN DIEN PHU against the attacking Viet-Min in 1954. Then, in 1968, some staff again in the Pentagon were almost in the process of using nuclear bombs in the defense of KHE-SAHN marine base in the former South Vietnam against the 5 division of attacking force of North Vietnamese Army. The US did not use nuclear bomb this time because the chance of overrunning the base was declared slim in the later half of the VietMin attack. The US is not loudly barking like a coward dog like NK but don't dare to challenge her.

I hope that supercomputer like this could solve sooner the vaccine for cancer, AIDS, etc..... and whether the 12th planet, Planet X or "Nibiru" is the one which may cause havoc to our solar system, probably in Dec. 21, 2012, as the Mayan calendar predicts.

I'll never buy Japanese PC brand. Japanese PC makers does not have a very good Drivers/Manual download homepage like what DELL, LENOVO, HP are doing. Some Japanese makers will give you a pain in the neck if you ask for driver CD because you lost it.
-
NEC and Toshiba, and to some extent Fujitsu give no recovery CD. Everything will be done from the start menu upon first use of the PC.
-
If you ask for driver CD because you want to change it to English software, they will say that it's not available because the PC are for Japanese environment only. They are foolish. PC drivers are binary so it will work at any languages
-
For short, since 1999 until now, I never bought Japanese PC. All are DELL and HP. In two of the companies where I worked before and I was responsible for PC purchases, I went to DELL.
- ENERGY STAR is a crap. The notebooks I was using in 1991, 1993, 1997 has ENERGY STAR but they consume a lot power than the notebook these days even without ENERGY STAR.
- ENERGY STAR is not related to any PC manufacturer. It depends on the type of CPU, HDD type, LCD typeand the Lithium-Ion battery makers and the likes. With these considerations, ENERGY STAR is not necessary and should not be, in any case be a deciding factor in buying PC.

another possible spy plane of the US: http://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/x-45-ucav/x-45-ucav4.html

If the commercial imagery satellite owned by Digital Globe Inc. can see a sedan and a motorcycle, how much more is the US Military satellite can see. Perhaps, the brand of the tires used by the vehicles or the newspapers that Kim Jong is reading in his balcony can also be read by the US spy satellite.

U2 is obsolete since the Cuban crisis in 1961. First generation anti-aircraft missile can shootdown U2 already since 1961.

This should had been long done by MUFJ. Before the merger, some ATMS and branches of Mitsubishi-Tokyo and UFJ were just within 100 meters distance. After the merger until now, MUFJ still operating those two branches. It is more economical and reasonable to streamline both branches and ATM locations.

Sorry Rod, I was with Journey last night, in the 5,000-seat capacity Tokyo International Forum Hall-A. 99% of the audience were standing from 7:00PM to 9:15PM. They never took their seats.

the amount depends on how much and how many years one is paying the insurance and how many is his/her dependents.
I lost my job 3 years ago. Before being laid-off, I worked and paying premiums for 9.5 straight years.
(1) I was entitled for 9 months welfare support and I was entitled to a 7,200yen daily allowance including Saturday, Holidays. and Sunday
(2)The contract was not to engaged in part time or else, once caught, severe penalty will be imposed.
(3) every month, I must report to them the company where I am applying. At least one company per month. It is possible that you rejected the company that is why you are still searching.
(4) Since after two months I got a new job, I got a reimbursement of 30% of the remaining days of the 9-month welfare entitlement.
For example: 30% of (9months MINUS 2months)X7,200 per day = 453,600 Yen or about 4,500USD

Japan has an exceptional maintenance record. Actually, one-time lousy work in a power plant will automatically given suspension or dismissal at work.
In the past, the two accidents related to the so-called poor maintenance was actually happened in a prototype nuclear reactor. A completely-new technology in nuclear power plant engineering. One of the accidents was the FUGEN Advanced Thermal Reactor (ATR) and and the MONJU Fast-Breed Reactor (FBR).
When in comes to Advance-Boiling Water Reactors (ABWR) which is the same type that will be used in San Antonio Texas, Toshiba is one of the world's best and one of the pioneer in this type of reactors. Toshiba made AWBR in Shika (1 unit), Hamaoka (1)and Kashiwaki-Kariwa (2 units).
For 2012 to 2018, Toshiba is scheduled to build nine (9) new AWBR power plants all over Japan, basically owned by Chugoku Electric, Tokyo Electric and Tohoku Electric, among others.

This true ... and actually there is a short story about this that is circulating around the globe for some times already, .... entitled "TWO COWS from GOD".
There were two big fat cows given by GOD in the world to replenish and stabilize the food supply of His followers. After some time, one of the two cows died.
The JAPANESE people hired dedicated and maybe workaholic scientists and researchers and formed R-and-D group and decided how to make smaller (and cute/good-looking) but fast-breeding cows and made patent, then claimed that the new breed is now called as "Ushi-Japonica" or simply, "cows made in Japan".
The AMERICANS hired several consultants. Then later formed a group where there are more than 10 vice-presidents and only 1 scientist.

I like KFC in many countries around the world but not here in Japan. The taste is very monotonous and boring here in Japan. Then there is only one kind of sauce and that is "tomato ketchup" and you still have to beg for it. Perhaps the secret recipes in English were not handed-over to Japan because of language barrier that is why the management of KFC let Japan branch do their own version.
I had been to Singapore, Malaysia and other SE Asian countries. I like the extra flavor that adapt to the taste of each of these SE Asian countries.

2,300 ft is only about 700 meters above the ground. With only the tail as the recognizable part left in the wreckage really tells us that the plane is still in high-speed descend. Perhaps the plane thought that it was still high in the air and it took a more thrust to go down to 2300 feet.
Perhaps, the altimeter was not calibrated to the right altitude. Or somebody in the ILS operator alter the computerized ground-level reference like what the villain in the DIE-HARD-2 movie did.

Stimulus package, when finally approved, will not flow into the market tomorrow, next week or next month. The earliest is most likely in December of this year. The approval of this stimulus package may boast the stock market of the US and the whole world momentarily. Nobody knows yet as of this time if the momentary good effect to the US and the world market could be sustained and be the starting point and the driving force toward the recovery. The 3.6 million unemployed Americans (and more coming)who have not experienced yet on how to live day-by-day with money just for the very basic needs, or have not yet experience like squatters/homeless may be already dead socially and economically, if not literally, when the actual money of the stimulus package arrive in later this year or next year.
......................
With the national debt of the US amounting to 10 trillion dollars already, if this stimulus package cannot revitalize the economy, this 10 trillion will likely to grow, in which two or more generations of still yet unborn Americans will have to pay.
.......................................
I hope, the US will not imprint treasure-notes/money without the actual gold equivalent because everybody now knows how the economy of promissory notes, stocks/bonds could vanished overnight just like a bubble quickly gone in the air.

I like Softbank for its predatory pricing. Because of that, AU, emobile, Willcom and Docomo are lowering prices too. The competition that Softbank is offering to the market also lowers the prices of these 4 cellular phone companies and 1 PHS company. I was IDO back in 1998 and now AU.
Softbank boasted its no.1 in net subscribers for the whole 2008 but I think the network quality deteriorates because of unlimited calls at 980yen. The 3G subscribers of softbank is increasing but still more than half of its base stations are still for 2G PDC technology. When everybody goes to 3G, there maybe more drop calls and clogging of network and the 2G base stations are almost a garbage because of 2G PDC is 180-degrees incompatible with 3G-WCDMA.

In 1990, many areas upstate the of NY and some NE states had no power for almost a month. In 2001, the same areas had no power for a week too.
Stimulus package may not be directly connected to emergencies due to mother nature.
With this economic crisis in the US and much of the world, all solutions on the table are just experiment and the outcome may be good but will have a bad effect on the other perspective. The whole systems are now like inter-wined, spaghetti-like bundled noodles. Pulling one strand will affect one or more strands. ... this economic crisis is really scary
If the administration lowers the mortgages, how about now the revenue of the US treasury. The US economy and the government need hard cash specially that her national debt is now 10 trillion dollars. (just 800 Billion dollars in the 1970's).
The stimulus package of 825 billion dollars will for sure add to the national debt, directly or indirectly.
Out of the 10 trillion debt, about 4 million was borrowed from Japan and China where China has slightly bigger amount.
This means, every American has a debt to pay as lifetime obligation to Chinese and Japanese. 6 trillion debt are from UK, Brazil, Russia, India and some world-lending bodies. The lower the interest rates circulating in the US economy may give longer years for the American to pay these 10 trillion debt to Chinese, Japanese etc.
With this amount, US may no longer go to war with China in the future in protection of Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and her pacific allies because without even firing a single bullet, China can just float this money in the air and the whole US economy and the world will definitely suffer.

ideology, belief etc... sometimes perish in the air when money speaks.... Wal-Mart, just recently marketed two successful CD albums in the US/Canada.

2) The June-2008 REVELATION Album by JOURNEY, sold 110,000 in just 5 days ... now a certified platinum records of 1 million copies by the end of 2008

Perez is right of saying that that
.
I remember that a decade ago, one of our neighbors was using sling shot to rain down stones on our galvanized-iron roof in retaliation to the fight with my brother. They were teenagers at that time. When it was happening almost everyday, we warned the whole family that the next time stone drop on our roof and we actually see where it came from, we will retaliate accordingly.
The next night when we saw someone was using sling raining down again our roof, although it was a little bit dark, we fired several shots to that direction using just BLANK BULLETS, and since then no more stones raining down on our roof.

The new leader of South Korea is right in handling with the north. The reunification will never happened peacefully unless the power-hungry, greedy dictator (and his party) who rules the NORTH will be all dead and gone.
Speaking of dead, economically the NORTH is dead. At night, it is literally dead. Click the link below. this is the satellite image of light intensity taken some time in 2002.
