In other countries people seek out places that sell the real deal

    Visit Shinjuku.

Palestinians are the most terrorized people on this earth perhaps together with Iraqis. Living in constant threat. According to Ramsey Clark former US general, there has been 50 years of assults of Palestinian rights. And some people still come with ignorance.

Clay had a searing remark to raise everyones eye-brows, but HOW can one NOT burst out laughing at,"culinary katakana--barely recognizable, its meaning unclear..

I suggest this gentleman to learn Japanese. If Indians and Arabs wrote their menus in London in Arabic or Hindus these people would still be stuck in their little cozy caves of theirs wouldn't they? It reeks, chip on the shoulder, I have no food culture and can't speak Japanese complex.

You can get spicy food in Japan. Go to Korea town in Shinjuku. Up the road where I live, there is an Indian place run by Indians and you can get spicy food there too. Did not Michelin give out stars to European restaurants in Tokyo? I think quite a few French and perhaps Italian restaurants got stars.

But there is an another aspect. English people don't know how to cook. Japanese do. So English had no choice but to accept foreign food because their food was like dog vomit. Where as Japanese just as southern Europeans had this dining culture where food was an important part of life. In England it was just something you stuffed not to starve. You could compare it to cavemen living in caves, then one day outsiders who were living in huts came in contact with cavemen. Japanese were not cavemen. English were, and here lies a big difference as far as food is concerned. I suggest this gentleman to stop whining if you do not want to go back to your little cozy cave of yours.

Palestinians first started to exist in 1967. Do you ever get amazed by your own intellectual rational opinion? It's called denial.

Could someone explain who exactly the Palestinians are and what the Jews who lived in the region were called before the creation of the State of Israel?

Palestinians. Palestinians have been living in Palestine for thousands of years. Just as Japanese have been living in Japan for thousands of years. The religion among Palestinians were Jewish, Muslims and Christians. Palestinians built cities such as Jerusalem.

Paragraph 6 of Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention on Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War states, "The occupying power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into territories it occupies.

I'm thinking that the building is happening in Jerusalem, which belongs to Israel and has for more than 50 years now.

On top of the article it says. KARMEI TZUR, West Bank. Jerusalem was built by the Palestinians just as many other towns in Palestine such as Bethlehem. Palestinians lived in Palestine. They were doing just fine until some foreign invader came and took their land away.

Why is it that Americans support Israel so much? I know that they have a very biased media. Why is it that the media in US is even less critical of Israel than even the Israeli media?

Iran and Venezuela should be given the Nobel Peace Prize for not attacking other countries. They have been a major force for world peace while the American government have been pushing for never ending war.

It is not a very difficult conflict to solve. A realistic peaceful settlement to the conflict will have to begin with a ceasefire agreement between the two sides based on a full withdrawal of Israel from all the territories occupied in 1967. Every Palestinian leader agrees to this, the international community agrees to this, USA agrees to this. What Israel and the international community now needs to do is to start respecting international law and agreements.

"more than 165 rockets and mortars have been fired at Israel from Gaza so far this year"

    What's up with that?

If occupation ends and Palestinians exercised self-determination, there would then be no need for any violence. The reality is that nearly 20 years of peaceful negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis have not restored any of Palestinian rights.

Hamas is the only party to this conflict that is seeking a solution based on International law and the Universal declaration of human right. That is why the elected representative of the Palestinians are demonized and the electorates are persecuted. In this case Israel is violating international law.

Israel should keep building. Hamas should end all claims, period.

All settlements according to international law which US also agreed to states very clearly. Every single settlement in occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem is illegal.

Every single Palestinian leader including Hamas has said. A realistic peaceful settlement to the conflict will have to begin with a ceasefire agreement between the two sides based on a full withdrawal of Israel from all the territories occupied in 1967.

Israel can defend itself as much as it wants from stolen land according to international law which is 1967 borders which US also agreed to.

The conflict is the outcome of aggression and occupation. The Palestinian struggle against the Israelis is not because they are Jewish, but because they invaded Palestinian homeland and dispossessed the Palestinians.

WHy should Palestinians accept that because the Jews were once persecuted in Europe they have the right to take Palestinian land and throw the Palestinians out? The injustices suffered by the Jews in Europe were horrible and criminal, but were not perpetrated by the Palestinians so why should Palestinians be punished for the sins of others or be made to pay for their crimes? This question is asked by everyone with a reasonable mind even including Iran. Who is it that is unreasonable here? It most certainly is not the Palestinians but rather the oppressors and the supporters of oppression.
