Why is this issue worth mentioning when it's just a prostitution attached to a military like any other that continued throughout the world everywhere including the Koreans which also started to recruit women for U.N. forces during the Korean War??

You assume that the issue of comfort women were "hidden" by both Japanese government and Korean government prior to the execution of the 1965 is I'm afraid FALSE. If there were such discussions on minutes/dialogs between the two governments during the course of 20 years of negotiations with hundred and thousands of recorded minutes, there is no doubt in my mind that Korean government would have already presented this to the public. The mere fact that such dialogs never existed leads me to believe that most of these women were in fact just regular prostitues attached to the military operated by middle men.

They haven't. I have yet to see President or the Congress offering official apology and such incidents to be placed on U.S. history books.

Back to square one, as usual.
This is exactly what the anti-whaling nations are seeking for, a research program without taking samples (non-lethal) which they know is highly inaccurate and unreliable thereby assuring their annual stance that "data is insufficient! moratorium to continue!!".

I stand corrected. NISA reported a meldown just a day after.

There is difference between meldown and melt through. And no. The officials stated a "meltdown" a couple days after the incident. And did you ever find your evidence that "Weeks after the outside world was saying there had been at least a 70% meltdown in three reactors"?? Unless you can provide this evidence, there is no point in arguing whether or not TEPCO's recent estimation of % meltdown was timely or not.

I think people who lived in the exclusion zones are well aware of the fact that decontamination work needs to be in place before they can move back in.
We can nitpitck till cows come home but the fact is cooling function has been operational to a point where the fuel rods (that are melted or not melted) temperature is down to a point where there exists little chance of further explosion or melt through.
Considering the situation back in March where there was no power, no light, no cooling method in place other than spraying sea water, the progress has been pretty remarkable, IMO.

Where did you get this from?
??? It is my understanding that the Japanese government initially offered individual compensation but it was the Korean government that refused. Secondly, if there was a secret agreement by both governments to make sure that these women weren't to be paid, there must be a record of such intent in the meetings (minutes) during the two decade long negotiations which lead up to the 1965 agreement, right?

In other words, if Japan just dumped the 800 dead minke whale carcases into the Southern Ocean without bringing it back home, the anti-whalers will have no arguments?

I believe they did already. It's these anti-whaling nations that are crying "we don't trust your data". Then, we're back to more research but the same anti-whaling nations are crying "no more lethal research" as if non-lethal research is poster boy for "accuracy".

Yubaru.
If I'm not mistaken, the money or value that the shareholders were receiving prior to this blow up was never intended to go the shareholders from the very beginning. In other words, they were receiving something they should of never had from the beginning.
Hence, I gave the two options that this Brit could of done when he became the top dog.

The investments (which are losses in this case). It's not a "fancy" term at all if you're involved in business.
Maybe you should ask the shareholders and the employees what they think on the two options I gave.

This Brit could of saved the day by making enough profits to offset the previous losses through amortization but he knew he didn't have the capability to do so let's "expose" and try to be a hero that way.

But the investors(banks) are pouring money into JGB despite the low interest rates. That's my point!! It's essentially a supply/demand. High risk, nobody wants to buy so the yield goes up to entice buyers. Low risk, many want to buy so there is no need. What you're arguing is that JGB is high risk which doesn't fly because of the low yield.
???? You mean to tell me that both China and India had "BANG" innovations??
And why does this apply to Japan?
Agree with #1 for it's a no duh. How to achieve it is what we're debating here. Secondly, #2 conflicts with #3 for government spending is a core component of GDP.

It does not. It's simply a supply/demand mechanism.
We're not talking about "innovations".
Irrelevant. There is no doubt that the countries like India who has 10 times the population of Japan would surpass them in the future. It only goes to show how low China and India were despite having such large population.
I don't understand this statement.
Less tax, less bureucratic red tape for financial sectors is the most effective way to achieve balance.

As david and other have alluded to on MANY OCCASIONS, it's not a loop hole. It's written on the convention.
"Any whales taken under these special permits shall so far as practicable be processed and the proceeds shall be dealt with in accordance with directions issued by the Government by which the permit was granted. "
It would constitute a "loop hole" only if such statement didn't exist.
Why do anti-whalers repeat the same old misinformation time and time again?

"To put this in perspective, the Pacific Ocean holds about 300 trillion swimming pools full of water, and they are going to release about** five swimming pools full**," said Timothy Jorgensen, chair of the radiation safety committee at Georgetown University Medical Center. "So hopefully the churning of the ocean and the currents will quickly disperse this so that it gets to very dilute concentrations relatively quickly."
This was released when TEPCO released the water just a few months back.
