This makes it looks like the Japanese government in power during WW2 is still in power today. Perhaps that's why Japan, unlike Germany, still has so many problems relating back to WW2 with its neighbors today.

I have driven through that part of the country before. It is very easy to fall asleep behind the wheel because the landscape and the drive are very boring. At times no other cars were in sight which made it even worse. I had to keep slapping myself and blasted my stereo to keep from falling asleep.

Just read an AP article bout the reporters finding a 75 year old man, Kunio Shiga, stranded alone at his home within the evacuation zone of Fukushima since the earthquake/tsunami. He is out of water and short on food and unable to get his car started to leave the area. I guess not everyone is dead in the area.
