Was alcohol involved? The article doesn't say. But most likely it was. This sax player was probably stoned out of his mind on booze. He won't even remember the incident. Certainly traumatic for the girl (or maybe not so), but if you read the autobiography of Eric Clapton, this would be "normal" stoned musician behavior...

I don't think the film will find a distributor in Japan< No it will not. The Cove has no commercial viability in Japan. It is akin to the Sea Shepard which appears in the film. This "documentary" is not at all what O'Barry originally hoped for, that is, something that would appeal to the Japanese general public. Instead, what he got was a Hollywood-scripted macho-man "eco-thriller", by first time film-maker Louie Psyhoyos and his fatcat billionare Texas pal, Jim Clark, who BTW, hates Japan.

Mr James is an abomination. He represents the epitomy of all Japanese stereotypes of gaijin roled into one. That the Big Mac meat factory farming giant could come up with this racist insult is not surprising at all. Why? Because, like it or not, Mr James will be very popular and will increase the sales of Big Macs.
I will register my protest with the manager of my local neighborhood's McDonald's and then draw a magic marker mustache and $ and yen signs on his dorky shirt.

These young punks should be tried as adults and tossed into the clink. This kind of bs happens all the time in Japan nowadays. 7 years ago, 3 "minors" similarly beat to death with metal bats a 69 year-old man, Mr. Seitaro Komode, who peacefully lived under the Sobu Line train track near my home. He was a kind old man who never hurt anyone. When asked why they killed him at 2 am, these delinquents answered, " We were stressed and beating the old guy made us feel better."

Mr. James is disgusting. The kind of "happy face" harmless gaijin that the Japanese love to drag out and chuckle at behind our backs.
The fact is that he is being used as a shill for Bic Macs and the big meat farming factory industry worldwide---the source of more emmissions to the atmosphere damaging the ozone layer than all of the automobilies and coal mines in the world combined.

Nishimura is a rich pachinko king and yet gambled and saddled himself with the awful Uno Kanda. What could have caused him to marry her? Celebrity? She is such a self-centered cretin--she never had any room for giving to another in her heart.

In the last year I have read of several cases where busy parents have forgotten to drop off their babies at the daycare center and left them to roast in the parking lot of their workplaces. In one of the cases, it was a Japanese guy whose wife called him in the late afternoon to ask why their baby son was not at daycare, and he raced out to find the boy had died in the hot car. Sad, but not malicious.

First went to Kabukicho back in September, 1967. When I was a student. I didn't think it was dangerous then, nor does it seem particularly so all these years later.
I was, however, overcharged "borareta" when I made the mistake of wandering into a "cabaret" with a couple of friends. At first I was protesting and refusing to pay, then a couple of unsavory-looing hoods came up to us to itimidate. I was holding back and saving "let's call the police", etc. but my Japanese friend, wiser, convinced me to pay up and get out of there.
Expensive lesson, yes, but a good true story that has served me well over 4 years.
