Or maybe your face is getting in the way of the mobile devices. There is nothing wrong about keitai on a train. Ride is usually not long enough to read a book.
Iphone? Don't care. I'd take NTT's Experia over it any day. But I won't. No ic chip no contract. I am sticking to J-keitais until smart phones get saifu keitai.

This is typical Japanese censorship crap. Some a-hole think he has the authorities over theaters and they simply obey. Not that I agree with the movie contents, or actually care, but theaters have the right to make their own choices, and public should have the right to see this.
Posted in: 'The Cove' is hardly an anti-Japanese movie. We believe that it's necessary to have a deep and healthy debate about the film's content.

At first I thought this was another pachinko stupidity, but this is indeed very sad. My thoughts are with the family.

There is no law requiring you to disclose your citizenship to landlords. You can walk into a real estate agency and say that you are naturalized citizen and they have no choice but to believe you. You can show your drivers license as ID and as newly issued drivers licenses don't have origin stated.
That being said, landlords have a perfect right to refuse you as it's their PRIVATE PROPERTY. There was this moron landlord in Azabujuban who was refusing foreigners. His apartment stayed opened for half a year.
Posted in: Real estate agents and landlords often say they are interested in renting out houses to foreigners, but they hesitate to do so due to concerns.

Maybe because Japan has such lackluster leaders, it has such powerful economy. Economy made by free markets and less government. If only this lackluster government wasn't such a spendthrift, Japan would be in a lot better shape.
Posted in: Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's decline is reviving an old question about Japanese politics: why does the world's second-largest economy produce such lackluster leaders?

Government should stay out of this. Private companies have enough potential to deliver the TV service that people actually want!

Pretty aggressive there. Just keep in mind violation of private property when you force your way into a car. Driver has the right to report you to authorities. Now about the environment, even though the impact of idling engine is insignificant, and your theory of cool engine causing harm is simply not true, I actually do try to switch off engine at long red lights. However, this won't be an option during summer. as engine power is required for aircon.

Ituzr, i can't recall me and my family been given a handout, but ok, i take your point, anybody can face difficulties and might need a little push to get back on track. But that's not what i am talking about. Something has to be done with charities so unnatural that receivers see only logic going like: more i reproduce, more charity i will get. This has to stop!

I hope she and all of you do some analysis before throwing money at charity. I have no problem to donate to victims of natural disasters, but donating to hungry and homeless just because they are poor must stop. By doing so we are braking the natural phenomenon of our world. We are damaging the eco-system by allowing other humans to depend on our donations. Us, humans have to earn our right to survive, just like all other species do. This is the only way we can preserve the natural balance that mother nature has given us. Ever seen the "do not feed the birds" sign? What gives you the right to think it doesn't apply to humans?

^^Or people will try to protect their privacy and freedom and start killing police officers and law makers on the spot.

Of course it will! How many criminal organizations are selling beer in the US now? None! Quite different than prohibition times, isn't it?
One more thing. Drugs will be much higher quality and probably a lot less harmful. Think how messed up coffee would be if it was illegal. Companies would openly compete to make their products better. We would probably see a different type of diet "coke" or heroin light.
