The problem is not with conspiracy, but with lack of alternatives. What we have is either mainstream media which just reports what government wants it to, or extreme alternative - conspiracy theory sites. There is nothing in between, that's the problem. That said, I have yet to see a solid argument against any conspiracy theory. Everything conspiracy theorists try to say is dismissed without any factual evidence, people just slap a label of extremists or conspiracy theory and go back watch their sports show.
Was 9-11 an inside job? there is plenty of evidence showing that it was, but the only alternative research was done by government, and their evidence is very vague. There was no independent investigation, and I think that's what conspiracy theorists try to point out.
Obama Birth Certificate - there is evidence showing that it is fake (multilayer pdf with traces of alternations), but lack of independent research makes things more difficult.
Osama Bin Laden - Conspiracy theorists claim it was a hoax. Well prove them wrong then. Claiming that you shot the guy and made such a mess that you won't reveal any photographic evidence and that the best thing you could do was to dump the body into the sea? like really? and you expect anybody with above average IQ to believe that?
So that's where conspiracy theories come in. They question everything that government spews out to public, and I think this is very appropriate. If people were blindly believing everything government tells them, there is no more reasons for government to be honest and transparent, and that's the beginning of totalitarian form of government.
If anything, we should support infowars.com and similar sites. Alex Jones may be mad with is ideas, but he is fighting a good fight. Even if only 10% of information on his web sites is true, it's still worth knowing.

Fights are going to happen, that's just nature... let the boys be boys, but Japanese boys need to learn when to stop. A few swings, knock down, all good, but just stop, you won, get on with it! no need to kill or injure your opponent. don't do on to others...

Yeah, let's start the blame game. We should blame destructive tsunami on some 60 year old exec!
They should be invstigating the power plant, whether any laws were broken and whether all standards were maintained. If no, the person running that plant should go to jail. there is no point going after senior execs in tokyo headquarters.
