I'm sure they needed that drill to match the riot power of say 100 yakuza. Saw nearly 200 cops the other day in Hiroo for those loonies that drive around in an empty bus. Easily 200 cops for probably 10 noise makers.

This shows how little work police in Japan have. To take so much time for such a stupid thing. JHS students making national news. Sad indeed for Japanese culture. How did the police get a warrant to search a JHS students home? Perhaps there is more to this story. Perhaps we will learn that the girl, who is 16, was refused adult entertainment by that student.

What the heck... The "Self Defense Force." My tax dollars at work. What a operation. "Operation Snow Dump" While the west is fighting terrorism, international drug smuggling, whaling, and a host of serious problems in the world, the Japanese military are building snow castles. Got to love it.

Still too expensive in Japan, unless you signup for 2 year INTERNET connection. picked up my netbook in Singapore for 35,000 yen. With 2GB of memory and a dumb drive and bag. Second generation. Love it!

MONKEYZ, El Torito is crap now. They only serve one or two dishes. Makes life easy when they don't need to think. (They also charge 400 yen for 1 glass of ice tea. It used to be free-refills but now pay for all.

"decided not to renew its contract" I bet you it was America that dropped them. Their food was good, but service was terrible. They are now opening in Singapore so perhaps one day it will be back in Japan, under US management.

"Let me out!" repeated 10 times, by a winer.... Get out then. And he did. Must of been one of those Japanese who think nothing bad can happen to them. Mistake.

Japanese love over charing themselves. Good for American businesses too. Here people actually pay the price on the box. Got to love the non thinking, non barging Japanese. You
d think that Narita airport (tax free) would be cheaper for cameras, think again. The price it at the same price, including tax. basically 5% up. As for the Japanese thing, who cares if Japanese do that. And thinking about Narita and language issues, What I cant understand is why MAC in Narita has only Japanese menus (with a big display) and an English menu posted outside alone the walk way. No bilingual menu there. My local MAC has a bilingual menu. Companies are very strange when it comes to Japanese. (but let's all remember, Japanese is a dieing language. In 50 years I might be only spoken by the old.)Posted in: Buying a camera in Japan? Think again

Look at all those Mc. Donalds bags. Looks like a grave yard. No design at all. Stick some candles in some bags and space them out in rows looks junky.

Noticed "Just do it at home" If you get drunk at home, you have a serious problem. Well I guess Japanese do get hammered at home a lot, but that's just because they hate their home life. (or should I just take out the word "home")

and the train is never that empty. they should make it more realistic. About 10,000 people in a car designed for 1000. then turn the heat on so it's about 35 inside, then drive really slow. Then say....

That is how leaders meet. Obama's shoe kissing bow was too much. I am sure he bowed when he was at a distance. Then shook hands as they moved together. Which should be the proper protocol for photographs.
