the number of US military members with criminal records increased by 54% from 2004 to 2005 (Oct 1, 2006: Nick Turse). i applaud the people of nago for rejecting those criminals from their fair town

True, but the total percentage of crime committed by military members and SOFA civilians was 1.5% compared to local crime during this period. “Okinawa Prefectural Police records.”

“I want to get married some time, but right now, I’d like to focus on my work.”

25, 35, 45, my where did the time go. Baby, you are a she-slave to the Japanese entertainment industry as a man pleaser. She is hot!

I always liked the miniskirt cops, but history shows only one or two of them will make it to the next level in the entertainment industry and not any further than that.

That would have made them 12 and 13 when they last spoke. Another product of the Japanese middle school system. Unfortunately Genki is still living in the 7th grade.

Too many stories of babies being left in cars at shopping malls and pachinko parlors and the babies expire due to extreme heat. If she did it in the winter, she is capable of doing it in the summer when temps are excessive.

YuriOtani, once again thanks for your National Inquirer (20% fact, 80% fiction) opinion of US interest in this region.

I'm pretty sure you can safely upgrade 'surely' to 'definately' because he's dead!

I read it as you did and figured out he was indeed dead. OBTW the Thesaurus definition of surely is "Adv. 1. surely - **definitely **or positively," no need to upgrade. Sorry you misunderstood.

Wow, 91 and maybe his first and surely last accident. There are 20-40 year olds out their now on their third or fourth accidents, but we focus on his age and no one mentioned his prior driving record. In most cases the elderly are much more cautious drivers than we are. My dad drove his car until he was 89, but turn the keys in one day when he said he had no desire to drive again. He never had an accident where he was at fault. Just saying...

"all the women"?! I've lived in Japan for more than ten years and I have never-- never-- seen that happen. In this culture, I question whether you have either.

What a coincidence, I was in a train station in Yokohama just two days ago and a woman entered and did her business (not the first time for me). No one complained and she went about her way. I assume someone who had only been in Japan for one day that particular day is one up on you! No pun intended.

can't believe Amuro is still only 32. Feels like she has been in the music industry for a couple of decades already.

You are correct, she has been in the industry for two decades. I can recall seeing her in a kids program singing around 1992, my kid was nuts about her.

Don't you think it's odd for a couple of mid 30's women to still be considered "cute" instead of attractive? Children and teens are cute.

Sounds more like a low end family diner in the US where the staff is getting back at a bad customer. Smear some crap in the meatloaf, that’ll show them.

How many whales must you kill for research that you would have enough left over to sell for human consumption? Just want to know.

What gun only holds five rounds? A revolver holds six, but I don't think many law agencies use them any more. In the event of a shoot out, this guy would have to be fairly accurate to come out on top with only five rounds in the clip. Leaving your gun in a bag and walking away is not smart either.

Please stop this celebration of this sordid "person".

Why do people want to see a balding, anorexic druggy trying to recapture his youth?

Kind of like Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Hank Williams Jr...

BurakuminDes, I disagree, I would give him father of the year for standing up to his no-load son! Not sure if I would have shanked him, but it seemed to be effective.
