Twenty five years in Japan, have seen it all and have to agree with most here, both MM and AKB will fade eventually as the next generation of Otaku’s appetite changes, hopefully a more intelligent generation. The Koreans are much more appealing and less goofy looking at this point.

Let's face it, the PM job in Japan is like a revolving door. No chance of having a popular guy/gal in the job. Unless they go around handing out cash, you will not last in this job. The fact is most that dislikes the PMs have no idea what the PM position encompasses, but will degrade them for how they speak, dress or walk. Get over it Japan and stop being the butt of jokes around the globe.

So is she saying there will be something to read in this book?
As anyone who has been in Japan for a while already knows, these photo books are the final phase of your popularity in Japan and you are on your way out.

How much research Sayuri Yoshinaga and these "mothers" conducted prior to coming to this final conclusion.

Now that’s funny! As for this ABCDEFG48… stuff, take away thescantly clad costumes and coy smiles and you have a bad sounding high school choir singing recycled tunes. Bet your bottom dollar a large portion of the concert goers are middle aged otaku’s armed with their concealed camera gear. Fortunately this form of entertainment does not represent Japan as a whole.

I think the term "charity" is being stretch to the far end of the galaxy in this case! I also can see that many feel the same about this greedy attempt to cash in on a tragedy. SMAP please save us the pain of having to listen to more of your horrible so called singing. Watching the latest SMAP commercial on TV for Softbank makes me want to hurl my phone into Tamagawa.

When you read about Japan and its law concerning private ownership of guns as being banned, you think of a country that is safe to live in with little threat of being shot. But you never think of the possibility of being stabbed as much as it happens here.

I like Becky! She has yet to stoop to the point of acting dumb and showing far more skin than necessary to get ahead in this industry. She actually seems to be intelligent and caring. May be the reason why some here despise her.

Good Dad: Exhausted every possible means to fix the problem at home, so turned to the law to save his precious child life before it was too late. Good for him and her.
Bad Dad: Decided right away that he did not want to deal with it, has little interest in his daughter’s well being or future and wanted the police to deal with his parental duties. Most likely, but will give him the benefit of doubt.

I was at a Sumo after tourney party at a stable in Tokyo a few years back, when two junior wrestlers came over and began to talk to me, then started pushing on me a bit rough. The gentleman who invited me quickly stopped them and advised them that I was a VIP guest and to their amazement, believed I had just walked in from off the street. My friend later told me that the average wrestler in Sumo is poorly educated (although few are college grads) and often come from poor families at an early age. This does not surprise me.

Concur; having already penned a book before making any impact on society other than being good looking is odd. However, it is Japan and many dreamers will be buying it for the sake of having it. There was a time when writing a book on one’s self was based on many years of trial, tribulations, professional career or a significant event that can fill a book. Today it’s become a tabloid in hard copy.
