    There is a photo showing dozens of well-racked young ladies wearing nothing but low slung vests and hotpants and there is a debate going on above about the price of taxes, the strong Yen and labour costs.....?

    I know it it Japan and the prices are in yen, but here's a memo for you, they grow chickens in Japan, and if you probably want to get technical about it, I bet that they import some of the food for the Hooters in the US from overseas too. So why is there going to be such a high price for it here in Japan.

    They'll probably charge the rack rate...

    FIFA should remember Lord Triesmans allegations of bid-rigging a few months ago which FIFA dismissed and for which Lord Triesman got the sack. Lord Triesman accused the Russians and the Spanish and it is a well known fact (as recently mentioned by FIFA) that the English do not strike any bid deals with anyone (and a reason why England have not been awarded the World Cup since 1966).

    Citizens of Israel. That hardly is the same as being a race. I would think this would be obvious.

    Citizens brings to mind good neighbours and law-abiding people. Bulldozing Palestinians into cramped refugee camps whilst you steal their land is not something a 'citizen' would do. A 'citizen' would get on with living and working together with fellow neighbours. It is obvious to me that as this land snatching is being based on religion and ethnic creed (let me spell it out for you, the Jewish Israelis stealing Arabic Palestinian land) so I would describe these thieves as a 'race', not citizens for goodness sake.

    I see. So the 2 million plus Palestinians who have a right to live in the West Bank and are being squeezed out by zealous land-grabbing by people who moved in after them, should be thankful should they ?

    Islam. And there are dozens of other cities all over the world that you can list as well.

    That's strange. I don't recall any 'Islamic' terrorism in world history before the Israelis started to create their new state after the War and before the Americans started arming Israel ? Terrorism based on 'Islam' as you put it, is wrong. But so is fanning the flames of terrorism (i.e the Israelis moving Jewish settlers into Palesinian land with total disrespect).

    Helter Skelter, let's be honest, the Israelis are a nasty race of people and the rest of the non-Jewish world is fed up with Israel's complete lack of humanity.

    It would be ironic if it wasn't so sad. A race who suffered so much at the hands of a land-grabbing army biased on racial division, becomes a land-grabbing army biased on racial division. These people still want sympathy from the rest of the world for what happened during the Holocaust, yet think they can behave like ogres and to hell with the rest of us.

    cleo, the full story (not printed in this photo report) was that 3 bears had spent a large part of the day in town after schoolchildren had first spotted them. After several unsuccessful attempts to drive them away from town the decision was taken to shoot them. 1 is still at large.

    And whats with this feeding them with acorns plan ?? In Hokkaido the Ussuri brown bears diet includes small and large mammals, fish, birds and insects such as ants. In October these bears are looking for food before hibernation from November to March and they certainly need more than acorns to help them survive the winter. You can drop them as many acorns as you like, but come October they will be back in town.

    cleo, I get the impression that you care a lot more about the well-being of animals than you do about humans. How about solving the problems of poverty and unemployment in Japan first before making air drops of food for bears ? You went on some rant about bloodthirsty hunters being trigger happy, but this is purely humans protecting humans. We should be protecting our fellow human beings before spending time and money on dinner for Hokkaido brown bears.

    Oh Cleo, give it a rest. No-one here said it was good to shoot the bears. Try looking up brown Hokkaido bears to see how they may have reacted if they came close to a human in that Hokkaido town. Maybe google the part about how brown bears will fight wolves and tigers to compete for food. Or how they can kill black bears and polar bear cubs (about the same size as an Elementary school child). It's too late to hold a liberal debate about de-forestisation and dropping bear food supplies when a pair of Hokkaido brown bears are strolling past your kids elementary school. The marksmen did everyone a favour.

    These two look like Hokkaido brown bears to me. Brown bears have been known to fight with Asiatic Tigers, they also fight with packs of North American wolves for food, they will kill black bears if they get the chance and they have been known to hunt and kill polar bear cubs where territories have crossed over. Would they attack and kill any humans in this Hokkaido town ? Work it out.
