LoveUSA: agreed... an otherwise attractive young woman, very pretty in fact, with shorage of marbles upstairs.

mattias78: What's the least bit 'self righteous' about it? Tatts are just dumb. Ask any 70 year old sailor with what looks like a blotting-paper smudge on their arm, whatever. As another poster has already said; when gravity takes over is it inevitably does and will with her, she's going to look very stupid. There's going to be a huge industry for tattoo removal in a few years (if not already) and the bad news is they never really do come off. As I said 'the skin never forgets.' Ask any dermatologist if it's true or not.

grafton: agreed. This is some sort of devolution into tribalism that is bizarre. Aren't we supposed to be going forward? I've even seen people with their girlfriend's names tattooed on their necks. Skin is a living organism and needs care, protection from too much sunlight and it never forgets any abuse, ask any skin cancer patient about UV overexposure. Just pathetic attention-drawing, self-disfiguration for the inadequate amongst us.

I should have added that I'm sure they will first attempt package deals like TV's Scupa et. al. as smartacus suggests. A few sites bundled for 5,000 a month or whatever. Dang ...

Ladies and gentlemen, in the industry this is called 'kite flying' testing the waters if you like. The papers editors and directors themselves are reading this kind of information very carefully indeed. Sure, they need revenue and miffed that they can't make the same amounts as with print, but this is the way it's going to be from now on like it or not Rupert and co. The future is here with sites like Huffington Post and that's the direction they will have to adopt to survive.

For the life of me I cannot understand how the Sanrio Cooperation have pulled this obvious rip-off along for so long without being horsewhipped in the courts then pilloried in public for plagiarism. No, make that blatant copying ... Kitty chan is a copy of 'Musti' the German character first thought up in 1945. Go Google it for yourselves. How have they gotten away with this for so long?

Just dreadful that people can post such unadulterated baloney on JT. What are you talking about? The Japanese Americans fought in the European theater, not against the Japanese. For God sake learn a few basics before coming on here.

Trust your children to learn from you, guide them, but let them be free to express as well. In the end they my surprise you in their ability to grow up into fine people. Interesting ... this is the philosophy of A.S Neil and the Summer Hill school in the UK. A very hip educational institution in its day. An aquantaince went there and attended a school reunion some years ago. Her comments were interesting as I recall; "God, they absolutely ALL have problems. attempted suicides, multiple marriages, drug and alcohol dependancies" etc. Food for thought, I thought ...

Tattoos, rap and saggy pants throw in he sheer absurdity and ugliness of body piercings; society in devolution. The great race to the bottom and whoever it was that said; 'human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe' had it right... By 'education' he or she wasn't talking about collecting pieces of paper either.

Proved wrong? Come again? Your academic paint job on what is primarily trash is pretty amusing I have to admit. It doesn't matter what adjectives you pull out of your lexicon, what we're dealing with here is garbage dressed up as music. It will be one of the darkest periods of dare I say 'music' 50 or whatever years hence. Something like DaDa gone bezerk, haywire and without doubt; a mirror of some very troubled times. No doubt that will do little else other than have you pecking out your retort but the fact is: you're dressing up garbage as art and history, not I nor other posters, will attest to the same. Have a good day now ...

To draw an analogy between Cole Porter and Snoop Dog or some other hare-brained, under-educated rapper with his name tattooed on his neck (to remember?) and a diamond encrusted dollar sign around the same mumbling something about "wanna hump you babe", is frankly, just stupid. There is just no analogy here at all. Lift your game...

I have listened to debito's speech in fluent Japanese at a conference some years ago. Believe me, he is indeed very fluent and speculation to the contrary is expected from the likes of nigelboy.

Professor: Perhaps I shouldn't pass this on as in principle I'm for punishment of drink drivers and strong punishment too. But there is a way to avoid conviction and a friend of mine pulled it off years ago: When pulled over, he rolled up the windows and locked the doors. The cops cannot do a single thing. Yes, they can tow the car away but they cannot force entry. He stayed there twelve hours or so and then got out sober enough to avoid a charge. A true story ...

Same thing, as a part of our university scavenger hunt many years ago, stealing a police car was 100 points plus. Nobody actually had the courage to do it but two friends, dressed in grey dust-coats pretending to be service personell and carrying a ladder, quietly walked into a magistrates court in session and removed a clock from the wall. Two very big men on campus for the next 4 years and have since gone into university folklore.

This is sad ... Most teachers I know, get into the game because the love to work with kids and want to help them. That there is little support doesn't surprise me. That's the nature of modern times, so it's not surprising that a few get a bit silly... Putting chalk in a kids mouth? Was the brat's mouth prized open and the chalk rammed down? Of course not. Total overreaction and so what ... My god, how times have changed. I knew teachers who flogged us with short thick straps specially made for the purpose just for looking sideways. A pay cut? Give me a break.

I hear the 'questionnaire' is 7 pages. Then followed by a panel interview for 30 minutes or so... They say the polygraph part is the easiest, though. Nah, just kidding but this is spectacularly horrible food. Barf fuel and then some.

Wake up Richard. It's well known the shopkeepers in the area fed the dog and this-is-why it kept coming back. Not because of some deep, 'I Rover will never let my master down' consciousness. Hachiko may well have been on a real food roll all those years I'd say.
