My vote was for Metallica.
Is rock still around? I thought it was as dead as disco.
Just read this in the AV Club:
While rock has never been rigidly defined as a genre, and has a magpie sensibility with new sounds and trends, it is no longer the center of pop culture, with the prerogative of granting honorary membership to artists practicing in other genres. Even if rock has never been specific or easily definable entity, the term no longer suits the wide-ranging and amorphous body of music currently being made and heard.
It might only be a matter of time before music historians remember Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith for contributing drum parts to so many classic rap songs; The Beatles for inspiring parts of the Beastie Boys’ Paul’s Boutique; and King Crimson for supplying an awesome hook to “Power” from West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

That coat doesn't even look warm enough the way it's cut. PETA are a bunch of doofuses, but I actually support their mission.

A smaller Eurozone led by (productive) Germans and without (lazy) Greeks will come about. Hurry up and force the banksters to accept their losses.

GE owes its creditors more than $600 billion. This is an amazing figure. It is more money than Greece owes its foreign creditors. It's more money than Portugal owes. It's larger than the entire external debt of Brazil... and Turkey... and Mexico. It's five times as much money as notorious Iceland owes.
GE would have gone bankrupt in 2008 without the aid of the U.S. government, which has guaranteed all of the company's debts through 2012 – for free."
GE is basically a highly leveraged firm with managers trying to maximize their own compensation. Since GE is too big to fail, they take big risks knowing the government will bail them out.

They were just frisking her. That's what cops do. Anyway, since she's 16, the judge will have to light on them. We all know how irresistible 16-year-old Japanese girls are. Let's get rid of these stupid age-of-consent laws, too.
