Basroil, I wonder what your position is on liberalization of the energy market. For example separating power generation from power transmission and opening up power generation to more competition. Also how do you explain the "safetry theater" of the Japan nuclear industry that has resulted in an output vs. capacity ratio that is less than half of other countries such as, for example, the USA.

Why is the location of the school off topic? My first reaction was, "what kind of douche would do something to children whose quality of life already extremely negatively affected by the meltdowns of the nearby reactors?"

Don't forget about the right wing nut job who tried to drive his van into Fukushima Daichi during the height of the meltdown crisis and was turned away but somehow got his van inside of Fukushima Daini and drove around playing patriotic music.. They'll probably make a checklist and say it's safe because they checked the box.

One problem is the velocity of money. Increased liquidity along with stimulus can increase confidence which can lead to a higher money multiplier. The tricky (impossible?) part is to reign in liquidity and stimulus once the party gets started.

The article failed to mention that, despite his tough talk, he is a spineless quitter who unexpectedly resigned his first premiership because he couldn't handle it. Just another hereditary politician with nothing more than family history and money as credentials. Let's see if he can beat his earlier mark of just under 12 months in office. For the sake of Japan, good luck Mr. Abe.

I think he must have learned the "I don't remember" defense from a drunken Japanese salaryman. Not remembering doesn't have anything to do with whether or not you did it.

That's because Kasai's specialty is b-kyu ryori (e.g., okonomiyaki, takoyaki, etc., etc.). They are very delicious and don't need no stinking michelin star.

I have no idea why there was so much money at home in this case but it is true that people who are avoiding taxes often tend to hold lots of cash rather than keep it in the bank.

From the NHK new report it wasn't clear whether to the Tochigi site will be for the radiactive ash and sludge generated by sewage and incenterator facilities in Tochigi or if it will include ash and sludge from other prefrectures. Does anybody know for sure on this point? This story makes it sound as if it is all coming from Fukushima. I don't think that is 100% correct.
