time to trot out the sports cliches. i'll start the (base)ball rollin'. "one can learn more from defeat, than from victory". he he he ... spoken like a true loser.

to american posters: once all those trained killing machines have been repatriated to american soil, what will be done with them? especially given the american unwillingness to disarm.

darvish getting yanked in the second inning doesn't bode well for his confidence (or the teams confidence in him for that matter). he ran into control problems against aussie batting? what happens when they face the dominicans, cubans, south koreans and americans? never mind how he screwed up in the first game of the olympics. face it, he's perhaps weak under (international) pressure and may be a dead weight.

What do you think of young Japanese women's fashion style this winter?

i like it. i love it much more than the fashion of their north american counterparts. it's rivalled only by the winter fashion of italian women.

i'm also interested to know why Mickey Deez needs to borrow money. according to most media outlets they, Rakuten, UNIQLO, TDL and one other japanese company are raking in huge profits despite the present recession.

ichiro is not a leader. too bad the mariners lost both tino martinez and edgar martinez in the span of 3 years. now they've got a host of talent, and no clubhouse/lockerroom leader to take all that talent in any sensible direction. assuming he doesnt't have a no trade clause, send mr. suzuki to kansas city for whatever the royals are willing to part with. that'll teach him to be such an arrogant so-and-so.

had he admitted to being drunk and simply asked for forgiveness, i would have had more respect for him. why is it that people are so unwilling to admit their mistakes and repent their crimes/sins/trespasses. this, combined with the aso-koizumi feud, will only serve to add to the oppositions position that the ruling party is unfit to govern. i support neither side but, i am not comfortable with the idea of government "by default". these men really need to straighten up an put their personal issues aside for the sake of the millions who are relying on them.

One “maid” employed by a shop at Akihabara relates her own tale of woe: While distributing flyers on the street she was pursued by a group of five or six cackling black males, exclaiming “Meido-san! Meido-san!” as they recorded her image with video cameras.

even had they not been cackling, the sight of more than 1 black person in the same place, at the same time, would've been enough to send the japanese populace into a panic. the japanese like their black people to curl their lips, bug-out their eyes and speak in broken japanese. a la bobby orugon. the best black person for the japanese is an ape-like, minstrel who know his place. shucks and jives. the standards are different for white foreigners, of course. they should be kakkoi and look like brad pitt, even if they look more like drew carrey ... ha ha ha.

my favourite will smith films are "hitch" and "the pursuit of happyness". least favourite "ali" and "independence day". people are tabbin'him to play obama in the movie but, i don't think he's suitable. i like the guy and his energy/accessibility.

nothing wrong with the way english is taught. the problem is that most people are too cowardly to use the english they've learned. by the time they get up enough courage to put what they've learned into practice, they've already forgotten most of it. one has to strike while the iron is hot. not heat it up; wait for it to cool off completely; then weakly strike it once in a while and expect to make something out of it. i studied french while i was in JHS & HS then, i went out and tried to talk the ears off every francophone i could corner/trap/ambush. it didn't matter to me that i was annoying them or delaying them from something more important. i wanted to hone and enhance my skills and i wasn't about to let something "the personal comfort of others" get in my way. it's time for english learners to kiai da!

for the conservatives/republicans in the audience, know that this bill can be passed with/without your cooperation/agreement. as such, do your best to lick your wounds and nurse your injured pride quietly and on the fringes. where you can no longer interfere in the progress/recovery of the US of A. the things you say are just an "empty orxhestra" ... ha ha ha

instead of waiting to see what mr. obama's administration can do, why don't the american people jus'impeach him now (after only 2 weeks on the job). then they too, can enjoy a revolvin'door of leadership. like the one that works so well here in japan ... ha ha ha. fukuda-abe-aso! the triple crown of leadership ... ha ha ha.

i don't like it (especially when travelling through N. America) when people push/pull their luggage willy-nilly through the airport without regard for the safety/comfort of other travellers. i'm tired of people suddenly stopping/changing direction/ramming into me. i wish they would pay more attention to wear they're going. i try to watch out for as many of them as i can but, it seems like one of them always slips through the defenses.
