Japanese are open to foreign food and new cusine so this could be a hit in Japan. While Tokyo is regarded as the city with the best cusine in the world and Japanese cusine aswell as European cusine made by Japanese is known to have one of the best quality in the world according to Michelin so this gentleman has some stiff competition.
Comparing Japanese to this type of breakfast is like comparing apples and oranges. I don't see why some people would not want to eat Japanese 5 times a week and this style 1 time a week and something else other times of the week. As for your health. Nothing beats natto, rice, miso soup, chawan mushi, sea weed, tofu and it tastes just as good as it is good for you.

There are enough seals. There are enough seals to hunt. The seal hunt is one of the oldest form of a commercial hunt of wild animals and despite the uproar there are enough seals to kill for their skin. This is a good example of how humans can utilize a natural renewable resources. Man taking the best of what nature has to offer without being too greedy.
With the human population increasing people are starting to talk about if it is sustainable for the planet to have this many people. There are rumours about population control.

I meant to say. If you look at the earth of today it is not warmer now than it was 5000 years ago. It is believed that the earth started getting warmer from about 1700s. If the earth has been getting warmer the past few hundreds of years then it is natural that some of the ice does melt from the poles. Any hysteria including the Golbal warming hysteria is easy to jump on and we take things for granted without much thought.
When that said. I do believe that having an awareness and taking care of the earth to be a positive step.

This is a feel good non event for the ignorant masses. What environmentalist does not want to tell you is that the world has been hotter than it is today. Even before there was such thing as Green House gases in this world. Remeber that the earth is not 100 or 2000 years old but much older than that. Ever since the people started using the Gregorian Calendar we have lost touch with the bigger picture. In contrast the Mayans were able to calculate an age by looking at the sun stars. An age was 5125 years. The age that we are in will end 21 December 2012. Then we will enter a new age which will last 5000 years. If you caompare the climate that we are in the past 5000 years the earth has not been especially warm.

One of the 6 major sponsors. Samusung and Coca Cola does not think boycotting will help "their interests" One thing which is different today than that of Germany 1930s is that there are lots stronger coorporate interests.
I would support a boycott. I never thought giving Olympics to China was a good idea but then again the IOC is a corrupt organization and Samarananch was a fascist who supported Franco and USA ofcource is no better than China.
It is a rotten world. We could start to improve it by boycotting the Olympics.

It would be better for US to stay out if this as US has the opposite effect as they like to see themselves as. Namely a stabalizing force. Besides according to Albasrah. Regime admits policemen, army troops are surrendering themselves to Sadr Offices rather than fight for US-backed government.
Cheney said to the press that he didn't care about American troops dying in Iraq and since the troops voluntarily joined the army their opinions don't count much. Their life should be compared more of a sacrifice. If you need to sacrifice a few to be able to "win" this war whatever that means I guess a few Iraqis and Americans getting killed is no big deal.
