Japan is still the world champions but it is very close. It is not as if Japan is the world champions by a mile. Nevertheless. Japan is still the World Champions. Baseball as in global sport. You have Japan which is the best and right behind Japan you have Korea, Cuba and behind them you have US and Dominican Republic.
If you compare it to football. You have Brazil, Italy, Spain, Germany etc and England which is no good. A bit like USA of football. Only hype and little substance.
Congratulations Korea. Now I hope you go all the way. Lee Seung-Yeop who has been having a miserable season for Yomiuri sinks Japan. Life goes on.

Now that we agree that Japan is the world champions in baseball. There was only 1 out of 9 Japanese who played in MLB. Well there was 2. The relief pitcher. The others were not playing in MLB. This means that most of the best players do not leave Japan and that Japan has the best baseball players in the world and that Japan is the world champions in baseball.

People who play and watch baseball knows that a WMC trophy is much more worth than the Olympics. Shame AMericans can't compete due to their drug habist unlike the Japanese. Finally the people with a brutal case of an inferiority complex admit reality. Japan is the world champions in baseball. Korea is now through to the finals in Olympic baseball. If Korea wins then Korea becomes the Olympic Champions which is not as higly rated as being the world champions.

Korea is not the world champions in baseball because this was the Olympic semi finals. If Korea gets gold. Korea then becomes the Olympic Champions and not World Champions. Here is more inferiority complex bordering insanity to state that Korea is the world champions. They are not because this was the semi finals for a start. And if they win the finals then Korea will become Olympic champions.

THe country which wins the Olympics becomes Olympic Champions. Japan winning the WBC is the World Champions. Therefore Japan is still the defending world champions until the next world cup where every country has it's absolute best players.
In soccer/football. Italy is the world champions but Italy is not the olympic champions. It is better to be the world champions than the olympic champions.
You have to be a downtrodden grumpy foreigner with an inferiority complex to not understand this blinded with hate. No rational reasoning just plain old insecurity.
