why do they have to be on duty for so long. what is that for??? they are not robots. they need down-time - like sleep!!!! maybe. no wonder there is so much ineptitude. blame it on the inhumane working hours. actually, i have heard they can be on duty for up to 48 hours then two or three days off. just enough to disrupt body rhythms. like nurses here, too.

there is so much else going on in japan - taxing way out of control, death from overwork, mislabeling of foods, people going crazy with knives, suidcides taking as many people as possible, selling poisoned and moldy rice etc, etc, this should not be on the top ten list of any new, however short, administation.

i do and have always considered beef from the usa safer and tastier than any other beef. glad to have it back. now, i just hope they don`t start labeling it japanese as they did to the much tastier usa pork.

oh, i guess murdering a younger rikshi falls under the "spirit of japanese people." along with the tainted rice scandals, the mislabeled food scandals, murder, mayhem and suicide taking as many with you as possible. yes, that`s the japanese spirit. i do not think this man speaks for the majority of japanese.
