    Making it attractive for women to stay home and raise families is the way to go. Tax breaks for kids, etc. Plus, people need to be encouraged to marry earlier- waiting until 30 or 35 really cuts down on the years of fertility available.

    Why can't a man stay home and raise kids? Also, I don't understand why people suggest to force others to do as they think is correct for some unknown benefit. That's very narrow-minded.

    stanoue at 04:13 PM JST - 11th January I'm sure all those childless couples will have really interesting and fulfilling lives in their old age - I see how much joy my Grandmother takes out of her children and grandchildren, never mind that her husband is a miserable bastard - how boring and lack lustre for her if she had chosen never to have kids when younger! Having kids should be a priority for personal reasons as well, not just to top up the population.

    Just because your grandma enjoys her family doesn't mean that the entire world should follow suit.

    Enjoy having lots of kids!
