And 59 hours of it is made up of videos of cats doing cute/funny things that their owners think the entire world wants to see. Either that or narcissistic people who want to show off their amateur talents and hope they will become the next Beiber.
The best thing about Youtube is the illegal uploads - ripped TV shows etc, that I can't get my hands on legally here in Japan - Transformers Animated in English for my son, rare concert footage etc for me.

I'm sure that inspires confidence in consumers considering buying Hitachi.
If they are smart they should make some sort of deal with Samsung to sell their TVs here under the Hitachi brand.

I don't think anyone cares about the age difference as long as both parties involved are adults. A 29yr old woman can marry a 70 year old man for all I care... but when one of them is a child and the other a middle-aged man, that raises eyebrows.

Funny, if a 37yr old today was dating a 13yr old there would be cries of outrage, but here they are promoted as the "ideal married couple".
I must admit I am jealous, Mifune is gorgeous and they do look very happy together. But in my head I still can't get over their age difference and the moral issues involved.

If only he had said : "Rehearsing is for fags. Not that there's anything wrong with that.", this would have been a non-issue. But JapanGal is right, this guy's comments are more often than not disgusting and offensive. Why the Academy even hired him in the first place is beyond me.

Well he has his shirt off more than he has it on, so it's not really news.... If it was a shirtless Phil Collins however, that would be another story altogether.
Still, only 5000 fans? AKB48 would get more than that in a shopping mall appearance.

I have to admit, Craig is the best Bond since Connery. George Lazenby comes in a close third. : )

It's kinda sad to see the likes of Honda, Panasonic etc. reporting huge losses, while a tobacco company is recording healthy profits..

@LRFAgain,
Long time no see! : ) I agree that there was probably nothing the driver could have done in this situation, regardless of his age, but generally speaking, don't you think someone in their 30s, 40s or even 50s would probably have faster reflexes than someone on the verge of 70? I think fast reflexes would definitely come in handy when driving a school bus, don't you? I'm sure this driver can drive the bus just as well as anyone else under most circumstances, but can he get his foot on the brake in time when he notices an emergency? Half a second is a long time in a moving vehicle.

Well, it is Halloween season...
Still, call me a socialist, but I feel somewhat uneasy with the fact that plenty of dead people are earning millions of dollars when millions of living people are struggling to survive.
I have no problem with people earning money when they are alive, but how about a law that says any profits made from a dead person shall go towards education or charity or something worthwhile?

One thing I will add against the driver, or not so much the driver, but senior citizens in general, is their reflexes are not as fast as they were when they were young. I wonder if they are the best choice to drive buses that are going to be constantly surrounded by little children?

Without further details about exactly how this happened it is hard to comment, but from this article at least it seems like the bus driver really got a raw deal. On top of having to live with the guilt of killing a baby girl, he is being treated like a criminal.
If blame is to be laid anywhere, it should be laid on the mother of the child.
RIP little girl.

10 years ago I would have refuted this, but as I get older, and as commercial TV gets more and more inane, I think I have to agree with you. Not sure if it justifies the price though - 1,345yen is much better invested in a skyperfect subscription.
