    It's a shame Harry couldn't be there.

Malfoy looks like he just stepped out of a 1980s drama. That's what you get for following Voldemort, folks.

I am sure England or Britain will suffice

That's GREAT Britain to you. ^o^

I agree, strange request indeed. Why should Australian taxpayers pay to "protect" Japanese whaling vessels that they believe are illegally hunting whales in their backyard?

It's not as though the Australian public are attacking the vessels. Sea Shepherd is not an Australian organisation, nor are its actions supported by the Australian government (or the majority of the Australian public).

Honestly the best thing he did to promote the change to digital was romp around in the nude, get replaced by "chidejika" which looked like it was designed by a 5yr old, then be reinstated again.

Does she get "hot" or "hot"? No doubt thousands of curious male fans are having fantasies right now.

It's good to see they are not really taking themselves seriously as "musicians", unlike many other groups who can't sing that pretend they actually have talent.

I personally don't care either way... just as happy to listen to Midnight Oil singing US Forces as I am to listen to Led Zeppelin ramble on about Gollum - as long as the music is good.

This is a tragedy, an no excuses the mother makes can justify nor atone for the atrocity she has committed. However I do hope that rather than just lock her up, they really try and find out what pushed her over the edge to do this. There are too many stories of mothers killing their babies.

I have heard stories from others about lack of resources/help for women in Japan suffering from PPD. Could a stronger help-network have helped the mother and kept the child alive? What can we as a society (or more importantly community - as this needs to be handled at a local level) do to provide support to mothers who need it? I know I may be sounding a bit preachy here, but I'm starting to worry that I, and the public at large has started to become desensitised to this type of crime... Shrugging our shoulders and saying "shikatanai ne" achieves nothing.

And so she should dodge it. It's none of their, nor our, business how her marriage is going.

That's a bit harsh. You just painted every politician in Japan as an idiot or worse. I think it would fair if perhaps you did some research befoer making such a comment.

But you have to admit, hoserfella is at least right about the majority of politicians out there, at least at the national level.

The police must now look into why the children were in that area unsupervised and if the pond was too easy to access.

They were unsupervised because they were 7 and 9 years old... we're not talking about toddlers here. I don't know of any 9 year olds whose parents supervise them 24/7 - and if they did I'd feel sorry for kids. This is a sad tragedy, yes, but I wouldn't be so quick to blame the parents.

The pond could be surrounded by a 10 metre electric fence, but trust me, inquisitive kids will find a way to get into just about anywhere.

Punching, kicking and throwing children are obviously far and away more a problem than applying a vaccuum cleaner on the their faces.

Well let's try that on you and see how you like it, eh?

Are they actually turning "off" the aircon, or just "cutting back" (perhaps turning all the cars into jakureibousha) instead of the full gust of arctic air? Turning the aircon off is a bit extreme on a packed train... reducing energy consumption by changing the settings is understandable though.

I'm no fan, but I wish her the best, and do hope she has a wonderful marriage and family. She's made some stupid decisions in the past and gone through hell for it, let's hope she can now live in peace out of public scrutiny.
