i was at that concert on sunday. first it was hot as hell, then the downpour started during maki's set. everyone was soaked, even the performers. one of the bands (can't remember name) got their keyboards all wet, so he just smashed it on stage to the amusement of the crowd. and the giant television screens were also fizzing out and losing pixels because of the wet. needless to say, not everything was waterproof. even koda kumi joked that her eyebrows were running. heh. actually, she gave the best set, doing cartwheels and flips on the wet stage. namie was lucky, she had sun, but still didn't dance much despite proclaiming herself the dancing queen. and ayumi only lip snyched two songs in the middle. all the rest she unquestionably sang herself, so eat your words. the best part of the concert, however, was the 40,000 j-girls in shortshorts looking their babydoll best. for that reason alone, give me a jpop concert over radiohead any day!
