CB Liddell, Tokyo is not one of the world's ugliest cities. It's eclectic, fascinating, sometimes infuriating, overcrowded and has an amazing sense of societal order. Ugly it is not. A very lame article.

I can't see the funny side to this at all. Why 50 police? Because some nutter was swimming naked at the IMPERIAL PALACE....imagine some nutter running around naked on the grounds of Buckingham Palace...you think they'd just send one bobby? Of course not.
This guy embarrassed himself and perpetuated the myth of the gaijin that many Japanese have in their minds...and with things like this, rightly so.
So many double standards on this thread.
(okay, have to admit, the police did look pretty damn stupid when they all ran away from him).

ColAmerica said, "Had traditional morals and values been part of this guys life, these crimes would not have been comitted."
So a good Church upbringing would have prevented this "immoral" crime? Need I remind you of the countless victims of sexual abuse by members of the head-in-the-sand church? Get a grip.

Is it completely necessary to out this young man? For crying out loud, he's only 22, obviously coming to terms with his sexuality, then wham! His name is splashed across the tabloids. Fair go.

let me fill in the grand-canyon-sized gaps:
20th Century Boys is a science fiction mystery comic created by Naoki Urasawa. Its central character is Kenji, and it is just awesome. Can't wait to see the film.

I do work for one of the companies but don't want to reveal that here. But as for ANA's Ecology Plan 2008-2011, I can say with confidence it is about cutting CO2 emissions. Of course the company also has a safety plan and a financial plan. From the documents I have read, I would say the priority is this: (1) safety, (2) financial, (3) environmental.
Hope that was on topic enough.

PepinGalarga, ANA do want to buy more of the B787, and ANA is in fact the launch company for this new aircraft, meaning they will be the first airline company to use this new plane. Problem is, Boeing has delayed the delivery at least 3 times now. And this is about cutting CO2 emmissions, not cutting fares.
Coligny, this isn't cutting corners. This is improving an alreading-existing design.
Am I biased? You bet...I work for the company.

2020hindsight, I tried a demo on the weekend and found it difficult to access all the icons and mailing using one hand. Maybe just have to get used to it. At the end of the day, however, it's pretty damn cool.

Whilst I can get over the no-strap issue, it never occurred to me that both hands are required to use the iPhone. This is a major design issue. Do all the other features - as outlined by LpLad - outweigh this issue? I don't know. I was definitely getting one, but might stick with my regular mobile phone and iTouch.
As for Apple's kitchen appliances, I'm totally against the iRack. Lol!
(many posters of this site could make use of the English dictionary in iPhone.....or hell, just buy the old fashioned book version. Or just learn to spell).
