btw. Savoie is completely correct in saying the judge should have known about custody problems with Japan. Sue that judge and get them booted. What a stupid mistake judge.

Whether he was here (living)or not (coming from the US to visit)is irrelevant. Either way he wouldn
t be granted visitation rights. Dont even argue this point. His ex was supposed to return after the vacation and she didnt, so shes breaking the law in the US. Japan is protecting her as they always do with their nationals in this situation. Both parents especially if they are/were good parents should be able to visit the kids but we all know that in Japan they wont do anything to enforce this. Native English teachers in Japan aren`t spending most of their teaching time explaining the fine details of grammar. Most of it is conversation style.

Be careful not to be fooled by the internet and/or companies. I searched a place on the net and it stated that there was no key money or gift money. I went to the agency the next day and there were countless other fees that were being used as a substitute. Renting is nothing but a scam in Japan.
