shiuu,
Why do I have to give my next paycheck to someone? That didn
t really make any sense. I contribute in many ways. You sound like George Bush by calling homeless/jobless people "lazy." And let me guess, you cant stand him. Elected officials are responsible for sorting out situations like the one in the article above, not me. A Democratic society extends beyond receiving a paycheck/wandering malls/movies/driving cars etc. I wouldn`t consider my opinion(s)silly they are just logical and caring.Posted in: Emperor calls on nation to unite in fighting recession

shiuu,
I wouldn`t consider people too lazy to help themselves because they are homeless or out of work. These situations are all too common in a world that has so much money and corruption. Perfect example of failed politics and Democratic societies not working.

Get ready for another war...This conflict is the perfect example of failed and greedy politics. 1971 was the perfect opportunity for this region to accept peace, instead Israel and the US preferred to perpetuate this comflict by not supporting the peace/territorial agreement. Hope for the best.

smithinjapan,
I
m actually against the war in Iraq and Im not a fan of Bush. My original point stated that Mugabe and Bush are not the same. Despite the dislike for Bush I highly doubt that the majority of US soldiers are walking around offing people as if it was their hobby, like in Zimbabwe. Secondly, we elect governments to represent us on an International level so technically it is their responsibility to sort out world issues. I try to look after the things in my surroundings but International disputes...Sorry out of my hands. Also, I`m not American.Posted in: Mugabe slams Bush's 'stupid' comments

Has anyone been to Zimbabwe recently?
smithinjapan,
thousands of innocent people are dying everyday in countries that don
t make the news. Wheres the cry from humanity? When the war in Iraq is over or when the troops depart, more killings will continue in Iraq and other low profile countries and nobody will once again show no interest. Zimbabwe needed the UN to help legitamize their political parties and they still can`t sort it out. And once again, if Bush is so bad he should have been voted out ages ago. Sad to say but it sounds like the American public are the authors of their own misfortune by not demanding Bush to get out ages ago. Does that mean the public are also responsible for the havoc in Iraq?Posted in: Mugabe slams Bush's 'stupid' comments

Anyone who thinks Mugabe and Bush are the same has lost their mind. Protest against Mugabe and you
ll be shot, beaten, have a limb removed and left to die. Your family too. I dont see this inhumane nonsense being approved and directed by Bush or for that matter in the US. Yep... There are problems in the US and Bush hasn`t been popular for a while but it would be quite dumb to even think they are the same.Posted in: Mugabe slams Bush's 'stupid' comments

It`s very difficult for me to see kids suffering from a medical condition that overwhelms them but when they smile with coursge it blows me away and gives me an opportunity to think about life in more ways then one. Excellent program.

vickman has an important point. Jobs aren
t guaranteed in this world but why not? Why is it that when a trend starts by companies to layoff others follow? Companies are making lots of money. The problem is how it is distributed and the amount they are paying out to their staff. We all love money but hey there is no need to be paying some people $40-50 an hour and others $10. Strangely enough the bottom end always goes first too which might be the reason why layoff numbers are so high...Private industry controls the Government dont you know? Thats why there are no strict laws regarding layoffs. Basically its thanks and see you later. Everything is too expensive in this world and a large number of folks dont have the cash to contibute. A CEO should have more intelligence or be more creative in repairing the damage to a company than just lay offs. Itll take more than 200 people to bring awareness or force change unfortunately. More like 2 billion. Time for the bigwigs who want to dabble with politics and control corp to take responsibility...Posted in: Union workers protest massive wave of job cuts

I get your point and based on principle I`m also sure that the American people would most definitely not have supported such a cause if they could have seen the future. But this all started in 2003 and there was no change in leadership and that is the fault of Americans. Remember, the President and other Politicians work for you...Citizens call the shots.

Not a fan of Bush but he
s definately nothing like past or current murderus leaders. At least hes not ordering people to shoot others at point blank or rape and beat them just because of their looks or opinions. If anyone expected a war that wouldnt include horrific situations for the people of Iraq or military personnel then you are dreaming...Ive always wondered how a leader who is so HATED internationally could stay in power for 2 terms. Looks like he fooled the US and the international community. He was never forced out so we`ll just have to live with what he did and continues to do for 30 some days.Posted in: Bush dodges shoe protest during visit to Iraq

These gangs are all over the place. I see them all the time in the downtown area cutting people off, reving their engines, driving dangerously/illegally etc. and nobody stops them. I told the police one day to get off their a**es and stop them instead of wasting time on stopping mama charlies. They are so obvious in their actions that the Police could just wait for them and jump them. But no that would be too logical. Just lazyness on the Polices behalf.

I`m more concerned about a celestial body ramming in to the Earth than I am about Global Warming. If there was a true concern then fossil fuels would have been fazed out or well on there way out. The Global Warming scare has made a lot of people rich...not one country has met there emissions cut target. Go figure...
