And the chinese government still hasn't gotten it into their thick skulls that you CAN'T CONTROL…
It seems no thread is complete without NetNinja's overly long, pointless, insane State of the Union…

Elvensilvan, Did not know that. Great info! But, still....that was a powerful EQ and Tsunami.

What's all this complaining about power cut backs? People can learn to cope. I've been here since the mid sixties. In those years buses, street cars and most trains did not have any air conditioning. They had fans. Some taxis had 'coolers' that worked if you kept the engine running at speed.
Change the way you dress, change your diet, get exercise and carry a hand fan. You may learn to like it because you will be healthier!

"News" happens to be* "information about recent events or happenings" * The supply of electricity by Roppongi is significant and indeed this scheme might serve as an example like Zenny11 mentioned.

proxy, I did not mean to insult you or your beliefs. Just like you I stated my opinion. And I can expand on that. God may have dictated the 10 commandments. God may have forbidden homosexuality, but if you believe in the scripts it was God who created humans and their flaws. And God left enforcing of his perceived rules to the same flawed humans. God so far has not intervened in preventing bonds between same sex humans and humans themselves are very much misguided thinking they can or have the right to do the job for him.

Cool it. Who exactly do you target with 'the country'? It's the consumers who have know for many years about the switch over but have been stalling till the last minute, thinking the prices of new sets would drop to rock bottom. The latter being true.
A good CRT TV can still be used for years with a simple, inexpensive converter, which is what I opted for with the TV in the bedroom!

The idea certainly isn't new. And I've seen this foliage grow up the walls of city hall in my city. And I've grown the bitter melons (reishi, goya) myself for years outside my windows. Lower temperatures, more oxygen plus fruit to pick.

Man himself decides what is right for him. Not an invisible god. Same sex marriage is an undeniable right. Middle Age Persecution of homosexuals is not only wrong, it is vile.

Disagree to any degree. Could not expect anything else from you. Opinions are divided - always will be. You should check your spelling though. The players won't be pleased to see how their names are printed here. And I wasn't the one who used the term modest (or not modest) commenting on the 'outfit' of designer Venus or Date's wear. Suggesting how Date's dress would have looked years ago is totally beside the point. It looked a whole lot better than the snipped and sown together pieces of cotton to conform to the designer lady's proportions, will all due respect. And trust me, advising me *to deal with it *is something that could bounce right back.

I donated blood in Japan for many years till the tainted blood scandal finally broke and then it was discovered I had been in Europe for a week or so long before that. Lack of proper screening procedures, bureaucracy and pure incompetence creates these situations.
But about the AKB, they are just young, adolescent girls. What is there not to like about them?

I liked this comment I found on the net:
and
Playing on centre court in a jump suit.
Both girls are fantastic players. But one difference is that Kimiko plays with style, which not only means she hits and returns, moves on the court beautifully, but also deals with errors, losses in style, something that cannot be said about her opponent.
I am looking forward to seeing Kimiko play for some more years to come!

The match starts at 1300 hours, local time. Late lunch for some?
But we'll see. Whether she loses or not does not matter. Kimiko is back on centre court.

An across the board consumption tax increase is the easy way out but it is also illogical and unfair. I have said it before, there should be different rates for necessities and luxury items.

I quote from another news source:
The news source also said: ""The donation will be put to immediate use on the ground in Japan.""I
It is not entirely sure though how the proceeds of the sale will be used. The article on JT says, they will go to relief projects in northern Japan, but also, to support and promote traditional arts in the region.
Scratches head.
