"The lower echelons of society doing their thing." No, more like freemen, not sheeple slaves that bow down and accept the obvious lies shuffled off on them and stand up and are not afraid to show their disgust of brazenly immoral behavior.

Clap-clap-clap. Applause. You are so right. Exercise your democratic right to defile, your disdain, your hatred now, years after you elected those you turned upon. Now that I find disgusting.

Blaming one man, or an administration on the present state of affairs in the UK is pretty short sighted. A takes a whole nation, and a set of morals to make a nation.

The lower echelons of society doing their thing.

No, we should have left Hussein be. Doing his thing, murdering his own people himself.

    Why doesn't Ozawa do CoolBiz?

Perhaps he thinks he has an advantage dressed formally. Old habits die hard.

The Russian skinheads, the echelons of the zombies, the cowardly kind. They are no different from indoctrinated terrorists whose behavior has only one thing in common: sickening violence. Please Mr Putin, if you are still the man with the power you think you have, rid your nation of this pest.

Labor unrest in China is a real threat to its stability. Wen should know that as soon as Japanese companies start raising wages, counterparts in the China sweat shops will rise to the occasion and demand more too. Imagine the scenario when the millions and millions in the hinterlands begin to realize what's going on and that they are being left out. I predict that a number of Japanese companies will pack up in the coming 5 years or so and return to the home country where they have control over R&D, manufacturing and marketing with a dedicated work force and without the threat of their technology being stolen, copied or surrendered in return for empty promises.

nope, 1 administration wasted money on destroying a nation then the same administration gave lucrituve contracts to their buddies to rebuild the very same nation who also probably profited from the destruction too.

OK, I get that part. The new administration gets blamed for the waste on rebuilding??

Islam is a religion and it comes in many flavors. Most Muslims are peace loving people. A minority is misguided and resorts to terrorism, unfortunately. Muslims are humans and those muslims suffering in Pakistan right now deserve all the aid they can get. Middle eastern nations pledging support is a good development. But the amounts NGOs seem to 'suck up' is disconcerting.

Do I get this right? One administration wastes money on destroying a nation, the next wastes it on rebuilding that same nation?

I am glad I drive a quirky French car. Nobody wants that one.

And I can't be accused of

The crime here isn't stolen cars, the crime here is the wasteful attitude most Japanese people have towards their cars.

The vehicle is 10 years old!

Never fails- J gals will jump at the opportunity to slap on a skimpy outfit and parade themselves through the streets- so much for the "shy Japanese" eh !

Oh, yes! Japanese girls are sooo promiscuous. And imagine, ALL Japanese girls are like this, and moreover, ONLY Japanese girls. <lament, lament>

The image Pakistanis have of the US apparently is not that good. And the opposite is probably also true. Other traditionally free giving countries hold back, like the US, as they are suspicious of where the money will end up. Also, I think, after the Haiti disaster, people feel there is a limit to what they can spare. We seem to be going through a time with one disaster after another. People make choices in where to donate their money. Their choices being governed by politics, personal feelings and their cash flow, among others. A moral responsibility is something we have towards all human beings, which unfortunately is understood by so few. Whether one's selective behavior in donating money to those in need makes one a bad person or not, or is justifiable, is a matter of conscience and we don't need to see excuses for that here.

The driver who manage to drive this car with these two beauties in the back must be the luckiest guy in the universe, even only for a moment, :-).

You mean: he managed to drive the car although there were two beauties in the back? But anyway - - - Ooh, what a lucky man he was! - - - And a bit OT, it reminds me of ferrying Japanese beauties in the back of my car on several occasions. No Lexus models, but 2-door sports cars :-)

Carter is right. Putting pressure on North Korea is unproductive. NK is unpredictable and its policies and human record seem out of tune with western ideology, but more results could be obtained by keeping open a line of communication and showing some respect than threats.

Carter also is owed respect and ridiculing him here on this forum is pretty low and is only an indication of the intelligence of the contributors.

In the 1960s and 1970s, Japan was notorious for copying American products and ideas

I don't doubt it for a minute. But I have no problem with that as Japanese products evolved into far superior quality items.
